Smiling blue eyes that seemed to stare straight into her soul met her on the other side of that door.

"Sebastian! What are you doing here?!" she screeched as she jumped into his arms.

"Didn't you watch the interview? I said I was leaving to surprise my best friend." He winked as he set her down, hugging her tighter before letting her go.

"I must have got caught up in entering my assessments! Oh, God! I'm so sorry. My deadlines got the best of me. I'm THAT teacher friend now, aren't I?" she grimaced.

"Hey, you're making sure you meet your deadlines for assessments, I'm not mad. How many times have I sat with you while you painstakingly laminate and cut out number puzzles, shape puzzles, sight words, entire preschool books? I'm not mad. I love that you love your job. However, I'm cold. Can I come in?" he says with a smile.

"And now I'm making you wait out in this frigid air! Oh, Lord. I'm sorry!" she exclaims as she ushers him inside, missing the way his eyes travel up and down her body, taking in the messy bun, oversized t-shirt and sweatpants.

Sebastian laughs as he haul's his suitcase inside and makes his way up to the guest bedroom, leaving her standing there, trying to calm her racing heart as she realizes that even after all this time, she still has a crush on him. She turns and catches a glimpse of herself in the mirror.

"Shit. I look like hell." Emma sighs as she starts toward the kitchen. Then it hits her. "It's been 11 years. Shouldn't I have gotten over this by now?"
