As the day went on, Vlad's grandma found Robin but he pretended that he was a vampire. The woman asked him many questions, to which he surprisingly passed. It also surprised Lucinda how nice she was to the girl, but she guessed it was because her family are a respected vampire family. Vlad found out that he could get his powers early, and in order for that to happen, he had to drink bat's blood. But of course Vlad wasn't having any of it.

So as of now, everyone was surrounding a table staring at the vile of blood.

"An so, my precious son. While i know this is a big step for you and i know this isn't what you want-" The Count started to say, but was cut off by Vlad.

"Are you kidding?! I can't wait, bring it on" he smirked, catching his dad off guard.

"Really? Right, good. Well as i was saying, i just know you will make a good vampire. Even if you're not quite ready"

"Ready? I've been ready for years" the boy laughed, while the Count just stared at his son in shock. Lucinda on the other hand, was finding all of this very amusing.

"What an eloquent speech Count. I'm glad we're in agreement at last. Let's get on with it" this made the man grumble under his breathe, and pulled Vlad away from the group. The two bickered back and forth, until stopped and walked back to the table.

"We've been dawdling long enough, let's get on with it" but before Vlad could make another excuse to leave, he grandma grabbed him and held him in place. His grandpa grabbed the vile, and started to speak Romanian.

"So, w-what does that mean?" Vlad muttered, now looking rather nervous.

"It means bottoms up, now drink" Vlad took a deep breathe, and went to drink the blood. But he was stopped by Ingrid, who was now holding the heat lamp.

"Wait! Not so fast. Everybody get back" the teen sneered, as she threatened them with the lamp.

"Oi, that's my sun lamp. Have you been in my room?" Vlad complained to his older sister.

"Not now, pus face. I'm saving your life. There's no way I'm letting my baby brother get his powers before me" she spat angrily.

"She's bluffing. She wouldn't dare" her grandma challenged, but this just made Ingrid smirk grow wider.

"Oh wouldn't i?" she questioned, then turned the lamp towards the older woman and turned on the lamp. The smell of burnt flesh could smelt throughout the room, making Lucinda scrunch her face up. Then she turned the lamp towards Vlad, causing him to laugh.

"That won't hurt me" He smirked.

"No, but this will" Ingrid snickered, and stomped on his foot. Lucinda giggled slightly, watching the boy whine in pain. The boy heard this, and playfully glared at his best friend.

"Nothing can stop me now" Ingrid cackled, whilst holding the vile of blood. She went to drink the blood, but suddenly Zoltan bumped into her, making her drop the vile. The teen girl screamed in anger, and stomped her foot.

"You should be ashamed of yourselves. The Grand High vampire will hear about this" The elder woman sneered, looking at the Dracula family.

"Enough about the Grand High vampire! I am sick of hearing about him" he hissed at the woman.

"Really? Well perhaps i should tell him that" she said, causing Vlad to speak up.

And maybe we should tell him about your precious daughter, running off with a.....what was it Luci?" the boy asked, making the girl stand next to him with a smirk.

"I think it was a werewolf" she answered, while crossing her arms.

After the confrontation, they went back into their coffin's and they soon vanished. Vlad and Lucinda got changed into more normal clothes. When Lucinda was finished, the girl snuck out the room and went downstairs to set up Vlad's birthday party. Once everything was set up, the Count called out to his son making it seem as though he was in trouble.

When the group saw him walk in, they all yelled "surprise" making him jump slightly but smiled none the less.

"Is this more what you had in mind?" Chloe asked, while Vlad sat down.

"This is perfect" he grinned, watching as Renfield placed a cake in front of the boy. Vlad's grin widened, and he dipped his finger into the icing and tasted it. But he scrunched his face, and looked at the disgusting man.

"Uh, what's in this cake?" he asked in disgust.

"Well, there was no sugar. So, i used pepper instead" Renfield replied, making everyone laugh. Lucinda looked at her best friend, and smiled when seeing how happy he looked. As if feeling her gaze, the boy looked at her and his smile grew. This didn't go unnoticed by her parents and his dad, making them give each other knowing smiles.

After the party was over, Vlad and Lucinda went up to their room. The girl sneakily grabbed a couple of things, and walked back into the room. The girl jumped on his bed, and handed him another gift.

"What is this? You already gave me a present" Vlad questioned.

"Oh just open it, Vladdy" Lucinda smiled, watching him rip off the paper. When he saw what it was, he showed a soft smile and looked up at the girl.

"Lu. This is amazing, i love it" It was the picture of them when they were five, and it was placed in a beautiful black frame.

"I'm glad you like it. Oh, and i have one more thing. Close your eyes" she said, not before the boy complained but stopped when she saw the look on Lucinda's face. Once his eyes were closed, the young girl placed something in his hand. When he opened his eyes, his eyes brightened when seeing a chocolate cupcake with a lit candle in the middle.

"I kinda had a feeling that Renfield would mess up the cake, so i got Chloe to buy it for me and bring it with her when she came over" she explained, then watched as the boy blew out the candle and pulled her into a side hug.
