The 1st game

****Sonny's POV****

"Nina did really good last night, not going to lie I was on the edge of the bleachers when they lifted her in the air for stunts, always makes me nervous."
Amanda said

"Yeah, I don't like it either but she in her words said if everyone else can still pick me up then the cheerleaders should be able to as well. She  must have gotten my genes with the skinniness"
I said

"She's about a spitting image of you Sonny seriously, I don't think you could deny her even if you wanted."
Amanda said

"Good morning."
Nina came out wiping her eyes

"Hey Princess, heard your game was good."
I said

"Yes we won 50-45."
Nina said

"How was it being back at that school again?" I asked her

Nina's whole face changed

"Nina."
I said

"It was interesting to say the least."
Nina said

"How so?"
Amanda asked

"Trust me it just was."
Nina said

"So I was wondering can Noah come over today?"
Nina asked

"Sure, just remember your bedroom door has to stay open".

"Yes dad."
Nina smiled and headed off to her room

"What was that comment about the game being interesting?"
Amanda said

"I don't know but believe I'm going to find out".

****Nina's POV****

Noah and I was in my room sitting on my bed

"Did you read what was in the envelope?"
Noah asked

"No not yet"
I said

I walked to my cheer bag and got it out and headed back to sit next to Noah

I Opened the envelope and pulled the few things that was in there out

The first one was a picture of my mom, Donald, Joe, and I.

We was at the beach that day

I was 7 and Joe was 11

I was brought back to that memory.

"Hey guys let's take a picture."
Donald said

"Hunny, no I don't get In pictures I take them."
Mom said

"Please mom, it'll be fun."
Joe said

"Fine!"
Mom laughed

"Here Nina let me pick you up so you can be as tall as all of us."
Joe laughed

"Ok."
I smiled

My front two teeth was still coming in and Donald held the camera up, our mom leaned into him, Joe leaned into him holding me and we all smiled big

Donald took the picture and he took me from Joe's arms and spun me around

"Thanks dad."
I smiled

"You'll Always be my little girl."
He hugged me

"Nina."
Noah said
Bringing me back to Reality

"That was a good day."
I smiled wiping a few tears from my face

I put the picture down And opened the letter

Nina,
I want to start off saying I'm sorry for everything you have been through. From the accident, to foster care, to Joe dying, all of it.
I want to make it up to you but Sonny won't let me see you. Did you know he grabbed me by the throat the other day? I hope he doesn't do you the same way. There's something I need to tell you, when You was nine years old After the accident I reached out to Sonny begging him to take you because I knew he was a cop and since knowing him from school I would know someone that would have you while I did my time in hopes to get you back. He responded in the letter he didn't want to responsibility of a kid. I hope that you'll give me a chance and maybe see me
I attached the letter to prove it
Donald

I put the letter down and seen the supposed letter Donald was talking about

"Does this look real?"
I asked Noah

"I don't know."
Noah said

"Sonny wouldn't lie to me like this I mean he wouldn't leave me Alone the first time we met."
I said

"Hey Nina."
Sonny said

We both looked up and I hurried and tried to push all the stuff behind me

Sonny's face was suspicious

"Kathleen called she's on her way to get Noah, something came up."
Sonny said

"Ok."
I said

Sonny went down the hallway

"Are you going to tell him?"
Noah said

"I don't know, I'm bothered he rejected to take me in the first place."

"There's no guarantees any of that's true."

"Yeah".

****Sonny's POV****

Noah had went home an hour ago and Nina had stayed in her room acting weird

I went to check on her

"Nina."
I said

"Yeah dad."
Nina jumped up

I came over and sat on her bed next to her

"You're hiding something what is it?"
I asked

"Nothing."
She said nervous looking

"Nina."
I said sternly

Nina looked down and handed me something's

I seen a picture, a letter, and another letter

I didn't know what to do

"Where did you get this?"
I asked

"Look Donald approached me last night after the game and tried talking to me I told him I'm not supposed to talk to him, still wouldn't listen".
Nina said

I looked at the picture and I even felt emotional seeing Sylvia and Nina smaller when I didn't even know she existed

"That was a good day."
Nina said

I read the letter and my blood began to boil, it was nothing but lies and to get Nina to come against me
I then read the supposed letter between Donald and I

"What Donald said isn't true right?"
Nina asked

"Nina (I took a deep breath) I feel guilty  everyday that I didn't know about you and wasn't there, please please know this is not true at all."
I said

"I didn't think it was but I had to ask."
Nina said

"I don't know what to do at this point but please let me know if he contacts you again."
I said
