The Innocent (A 'Finder' Fanfiction)

Interjection

For anybody who wanted to skip "Gemini" altogether, here is a short summary.

Akihito has been abducted from the Hong Kong hospital by Chernbog, which work for Alex, who on the other hand pretends to work for Asami's older half-brother Maxim. Alex uses the Russian terrorist organization as his private army. The actual plan was to get Sudou out of the hospital – right after Alex had taken Asami as commanded by Maxim – because Alex believes he could still get some information out of Sudou.

For the abduction Aaron and Sakazaki as well as some other men are sent in, who do not leave Akihito behind, though they have no directive to get him as well.

Now that Akihito has been brought to Warsaw, Alex does not really care about him. He is dismissive of his twin brother's choice to get the young man as well and would prefer to just get rid of him. Aaron manages to persuade Alex that Akihito can be the best weapon against Asami they could ever find. The twins then make a bet: Aaron wants to form Akihito into said weapon, which will work for Chernobog and Alex and against Asami.

In the following weeks in a warehouse outside Warsaw, Akihito is subjected to all kinds of torture, but while of Chernbog's men maltreat him, Aaron always handles him gently and promises to save and protect him. He also calls Akihito 'Arata', telling him that he once worked together with Chernobog to bring Asami down and that Asami brainwashed and raped him into believing he was a man named 'Takaba Akihito'.

After Aaron stages an escape for him and Arata, they settle into a derelict apartment for some weeks, in which they slowly get close to each other. Aaron knows that what Akihito (or Arata) is actually yearning for is Asami – his warmth and love – but for now, the boy does not remember that. Instead, he turns to Aaron for comfort, mentally and sexually. Of their intercourse, Aaron secretly takes photographs and videos.

With those, he later proofs to Alex that his plan has worked out. As a last step, he manages to convince Arata to try to kill Asami, by pretending to the man that he still believed in "his lies" and still thought he was Akihito.

One rainy evening, while Alex is preparing to get in contact with Asami in Maxim's mansion in Croatia, Aaron and Arata have to say their farewells. Yet when Arata disappears into the night to start his assassination attempt, Aaron feels that for the first time in his life there might have just been somebody who actually cared about him — no matter the lies leading to this.
