Thanks for actually taking your time and reading this even though it isn't a chapter plot wise ! I really appreciate it  :)

In the following, I listed all questions I could think of where 1) there is a right answer to it and 2) there are no right or wrong answers, I simply would love to know your opinion and theories. After all, it's been a huge journey and I probably wrote on this story for a couple years now.

I've been still growing up kind of  / became more of an adult during the writing process of this story and I guess you can see that reflecting in my writing when comparing the first few chapters to the latest ones. (Sometimes it's painful for me to read the first few ones idk why but if you made your way here I really hope u saw that my writing got kinda better at least haha x )

Heart of gold is my second story that actually made a significant number of readers, and my first huge one really (the first one which I probably wrote aged 14 isn't online anymore and wasn't in English lol) so I was insecure at first if I could really pull off an English story about a football league that's popular and which native English speakers might stumble across since I've never done that before.

My motivation for this was really the lack of Virgil stories at that time on Wattpad (now there are a lot more and great ones!). I've planned out something with another LFC player before but then decided for him because I had much more ideas for a long living plot timeline. I also wanted to make my own story and create it exactly how I desire a story to be, long chapters for instance. I'm a sucker for that.

And once I started writing longer chapters, there was no going back. I really have to calculate my word count sometime of the whole book out of curiosity.

I also think about uploading this story to AO3 if someone prefers reading there, plus I can add more tags and warnings there, but again football stories aren't really popular there I think so I don't know if it'll be worth it

So everyone who actually kept on reading and votes and comments and asks for updates and supports this story, I can't thank all of you enough. Sometimes you pulled me out of my deepest slump to write and it makes me more than happy to see that you enjoy this story, that it makes you happy, that you like reading it and to see your reactions on certain moments !! This story wouldn't be where it's at without all of you reading and voting for it so a huge thank you to everyone commenting on and enjoying this book!!! I absolutely LOVE seeing all your comments too and how you think and feel, it's funny and comforting and I kind of see through the eyes of a first time reader and it gives me another helpful perspective xx ❤️❤️

I remember when I gave this story a shot and published it, and fell out of my bed squealing when I saw it reached 2k readers and now it's 100 thousand. I still can't comprehend that fact that this story was read so many times...I can't get it inside my brain genuinely.
But this at least makes me think it's what people like and enjoy and that makes me feel honored that so many of you root for Marly and anticipate the next chapter

As I said before, I've been writing on this for years, as a teenager (and I still am technically) but I've had my own personal growth and since a few years ago I've changed too. A lot of personal stuff happened to me too multiple times, setting me back. I've had a very very rough time but I'm glad that you always asked for more chapters and kind of pushed me to write something just so I could set my mind off things. But I've been getting better and I'm really glad I didn't take my mind off this story for too long back then or put it on hold.

And I'm sorry that the chapters always take me so long but the best stuff usually is coming at random times and unplanned, and then I add it. Also it needs some time writing 10k+ words and after finishing a chapter I want to take a breath and do some other things before getting on with writing the next. I hope you understand that, but so far I've only received one really negative and sort of unkind message about this issue, so I think you are all not too mad about that hopefully😅
