Back in Melwood after her break, Marly quickly made her way to the training pitch.

She sighed in relief as she saw some players still preparing, meaning she isn't too late.

She was in the hallway to the pitch as she saw Trent, Rhian and Dejan put on the cropped black gps net top that was measuring their heart datas.

"Hello boys" she smiled kindly and they greeted her back.

Together, they walked on the pitch, Trent and Rhian joining in on running a few rounds already meanwhile Dejan waited a few moments on the side, hugging Marly.
"Can't wait to ask you everything"

"Don't fool me..why can I see that Alex already told you everything?" I asked suspiciously.

"What? No, Alex told me nothing" he said startled.
"Join training now, let's see if I can change my mind in an hour and half" I smiled and he nodded, running to the other players.

Virgil was watching Dejan and Marly getting close, he was hugging her from the side and the two were laughing before he walked on the pitch.

A feeling of jealousy bubbled up in the pit of his stomach but he knew that it was dumb since they're only friends.

He watched her sitting down, a simple grey lfc beanie of her head as the temperatures were getting colder in Liverpool. She pulled out a folder and the medical stuff was right beside her legs on the ground.

He found it rather cute as she pulled up her jacket, stuffing her scarf inside as she was clearly freezing.

"Virg!" The voice of his best friend was pulling him out of his daze, he blinked a few times and looked back at Joe.
"What?"

"You been staring at her the whole time like a creep man, we should gather in a circle, c'mon now" he told him, and they walked to the boys standing around Klopp and the other fitness coaches.

Next, they put out the balls from the nets and began standing in a circle with one person inside, trying to win over the ball that is passed between the outer ones.

He was in a group with Rhian, Joe, Gini, Trent and Sadio.

After endless teasing of the boys that Rhian was the youngest one, he had to step inside the circle and the boys started kicking the ball.

Virgil was facing the bench and he couldn't help but take in Marly's appearance again.

"Virg!" Joe now called, making him flinch.
He looked back to the boys now as they were a giggling how distracted he was just simply by her presence, but Joe explained soon.

"The ball was right in front of your two feet but you didn't notice. Too busy with having some thoughts about our doctor that we probably don't want to know"

Virgil scruffed his eyebrows.
"Fine, let me inside then" he sighed and Rhian took the spot where Virgil stood before.

"Unbelievable. Man, I've never seen you that in love" Joe teased and he could swore he saw a taint of red on the cheeks of the calm defender.

After a few rounds, they split up the squad, trying out tactical games against each other. One of the fitness coaches brought the neon coloured shirts and handed them out while the players took sips out of their water bottles.
