CHAPTER I

Seulgi's POV

I released a sigh of relief as I saw the view of my home. I'm so exhausted that all I want to do is sleep for the day, but of course that won't happen.

I parked my car and when I'm about to get off I heard my phone ringing. I looked at it

"What is it this time?" I said the moment I answer.

"Chill bear! I know you're tired alread--"

"Good. Now bye." I'm about to hung up then she speak again.

"Wait!"

"Wendy can you just say it already!" I got off my car and find my way to the door of my home.

"Don't get inside your house just yet." As if on cue I look around.

"Stop looking around I'm not there." she said. What the fuck!

"Wendy! I swear to God if I met someone's eyes while I'm looking around. I won't hesitate on dragging another person again." I told her. I just earn a laugh from her.

She is still laughing when I saw someone already staring in my direction.

"Don't test me, Wanda" I told her, I can't believe she's still laughing.

The girl's eyes avoided my gaze as she continued to walk. I just watched her walking back and forth as she keeps looking at her phone. I can tell that she's bothered by something.

"Wendy, why are you using a kid to watch me?" I asked.

I know Wendy can be too protective sometimes that she always make sure that I got home safe, but her using a kid this time is too much. I drop my things and walk my way across the street, where I saw a bothered little girl.

"What do you mean?!" I can hear Wendy shout.

"Don't shout! I'm wearing my earpiece." I told her. I reach the little girl and she looked at me again. I can see that she's waiting for me to say something.

"Wait, Seulgi don't do what---" Wend

"Hey." I told the girl, she looked at me like she needs some help. Wendy, what's this?

"Hello." she looked down.

"Fuck Seulgi! I did not send someone there!" I hear her through my earpiece. Wait, what?!

"If only you weren't busy laughing, I would've known sooner. I would've been on my bed already, not here infront of this--" I cut off my rant when I remembered that the girl is just listening and waiting to what I'm about to say next. Fuck you Wendy!

"I'll hang up, Wanda." She said sorry and ended the call.

"Sorry kid. My friend was messing with me and I thought you--" I can't finish what I'm about to say because I think she's also contemplating about something. "Hey, what's wrong?" I asked her.

"Uhm..." I waited for her to form her words. I can tell that she's still thinking if she will tell me or not.

"Look. I'm here to help." I pat her shoulder which made her look at my hand on it. I removed it in a snap.

"I'm sorry." I told her. "I'm Kang Seulgi. I'm an officer, I mean sort of. If  that helps..." I said giving her a smile.

She just look at me and I just realize that she looks like an angel. Damn! this child have great genes.

"I uhmm, I think I'm lost." I looked at her confused. How come she's lost when she has her phone with her. As if she reads what's in my mind.

"Oh, this?" she showed me her phone. "It just died and I can't seem to find my way back after walking and walking." She's so cute when she started talking more.
