Irene's POV

The call just ended. Maybe I shouldn't have threatened her.

"Why would I feel guilty doing that? I'm looking for my daughter for fuck's sake!" I stand up from my chair and start tracking Amy. I can see that it's just 4 aisle away from our new home. I was about to get my keys and go to my daughter when someone knocked on my office door.

"Come in." I said as my Secretary came to my view.

"The meeting with the board is about to start." I should have not gone to work today.

"How long will this last?" I can tell she's surprise with my question... I never really rush into this things, but if it involves my daughter I'd do anything.

"Not long Miss. About an hour or maybe less than that." that's long.

"Okay. Let's get this over with." I fix my things and started to walk through the door. "I almost forgot. Clear my schedule after this meeting. I need my daughter." I said. Yes, I need her not the other way around. She tends to act like a grown up child sometimes, she'd just say that I don't need to always be with her.

We just bond at home, at least that's what she prefer. I tried asking her out but she always insisted to stay, but when she's alone she wander around. Sometimes I think that she don't want to be seen around me. I mean she goes out with his dad and that's so unfair.

The meeting took almost an hour. After that I directly went to the parking, find my car, and drove off to the address I tracked. I arrived already though I parked across the street. I tried to look at the house, it's a small house yet so artistic from the outside. There's a woman trying to fix her things.

Looking from here, she's a little clumsy. She almost tripped while trying to reach for the other thing.

"Cute." I smiled, but it soon fade when she started to look around her. Her eyes met mine and Oh my! Is she even real? For a moment I forgot what I came here for, just for a moment.

I started walking to her direction. Maybe she's the one I talked to on my daughter's phone. I still have to ask where Amy is now.

"Hi miss. Is there anything I can help you with?" Just as I arrived in front of her when she asked. I just look at her finding words to say. Then my phone rings, I looked at it and it's my daughter, I answered it immediately. Forgetting the person I was about to talk to.

"Hello? Where are you? I'm worried."  I asked all concerned. I mean who wouldn't?

"Chill mom! I'm going home now, I'm with dad. I'll tell you what happened when you get home, alright?" see? She talks as if she's older than me.

"Okay. I'm on my way." and she hang up. Ugh! That kid!

I was about to go when someone held my wrist which made me look at who it is. Oh! I forgot about her. We're just staring at each other. I look at my wrist, which she is holding, then she quickly remove her hand and apologize. I looked at her. Is she blushing? I can't help but giggle. She look up facing me again. It's like she's memorizing my features.

"Done checking me out miss?" I asked that added more color to her cheeks.  I just chuckled.

"Yes." she answered that shocked me."I mean no.--" she continued but I stopped her right there. She still seem unsure with the words that goes out of her mouth.

"Well too bad. I'm in a hurry, let's just continue this some other time." I smiled at her before went straight to my car. I look at her again before I drive off. She's something. I'm really hoping on our next encounter.
