11. epilogue

y/n's pov

Teddy and I spent the next day at the beach. While Teddy was sitting down on his phone, I was watching the waves as they splashed around.

Well, I was until something in the sky caught my eye.

I started lightly hitting Teddy's arm.

"What?"

"Look!"

I pointed up at the sky where what looked like Kate and Jack jumping out of Santa's sleigh. Teddy quickly put down his phone and took off his sunglasses.

"MERRY CHRISTMAS Y/N! MERRY CHRISTMAS TEDDY!" Santa yelled down to us.

"You've got to be kidding me." Teddy muttered before chuckling and shaking his head.

We started getting up as Kate and Jack landed on the sand.

"Looks like you guys had a visit from our old friend." Teddy stated. "Was it as good as last time?"

"Well, let me put it this way. I met Mrs Claus, and I helped save Christmas with Dad when he was 13."

"Are... Are you serio— No way."

"Yes way!"

"Yeah, well, I climbed a glacier and fought off a Yule cat, so I'm kind of a big deal in the North Pole now."

"Is that right?" Teddy asked.

"Yeah. Me and Mrs Claus are like this." Jack crossed his fingers.

"You guys gotta tell us everything." I grinned.

"Yeah, but Bob and Mom are actually waiting for us, so we gotta go." Teddy said, wrapping his arm over my shoulder. "Come on."

"When we saw you last, you were gonna go to Kids Club. How'd you end up on Santa's sleigh?"

"And it clearly couldn't have been that good. I mean, I doubt there was a car chase with the cops."

"You hated that. You kept on complaining about wanting to throw up." Teddy chuckled.

"Yeah, but it was fun."

"You guys were in a car chase with cops!?" Jack's eyes widened.

We soon reached a table where Claire and Bob stood up to walk over to us.

"There's my little man." Bob said as Jack ran up to him.

"I'm so happy to see you, honey!" Claire said, wrapping Kate into a hug. "I missed you so much."

"I missed you, too." Kate said once they pulled apart from the hug. "Both of you."

Teddy rested his chin on my shoulder with his arms wrapped around my waist.

Bob looked over at Kate. "Really?"

Kate nodded with a smile. "Yeah."

"Kate, I want you to know I really care for your mother. And I hope that me and you can continue to bond. I know nothing happens overnight. One day at a time, right?"

Kate nodded. "One day at a time." She then started talking to everyone. "You know, guys, I was thinking, maybe tonight... maybe we should have a caroling party.

"Wow." Bob smiled.

"Seriously?" Teddy's face moved to face Kate.

"Sure." Jack said excitedly.

"I... I think that's a great idea." Claire said.

"I love it, I'm in."

"Let's do it."

"Y/N?" Kate looked up at me.

"I don't know."

"Come on, if you do it, I'll do it." Teddy said before kissing my cheek.

"You're already going to do it, Teddy." Claire said. "If Y/N doesn't want to, she doesn't have to."

"I'll do it."

We talked for a little bit longer before we all went off to do our own things until the sun sets.

"So, what song should we sing?" Bob asked as we walked up to the beach.

"How about... Oh Christmas Tree?" Kate picked.

I was at the end of the row, holding onto Teddy's hand as Kate started singing. I wasn't planning on singing, I just watched the waves as they all sang.

Santa must've done something because when they stopped singing the words "Merry Christmas" appeared in lights above the water. Obviously their parents didn't know what it was, but we did. Teddy chuckled softly and smiled at me.

He pressed his lips against mine.

"Eugh! Gross." Kate exclaimed, but she was ignored when we kissed again.

"You know what?"

"What?" I furrowed my eyebrows and Teddy smiled.

"I love you."

"You know what, Teddy?"

"What?"

"I love you too."

and that's the end
it's actually funny, i didn't expect this book to get any reads, and definitely not what it did
