In a Village, there was a legend. Up high on the mountain that scaled them, there was a hole. A hole that led down to monsters. Monsters that would kill them and take their souls to escape. The villagers usually heeded the legend and it's warning but some few slipped through the cracks.
Kids all from the village would be dared to or even willing jump down to the depths to see if the legend was true. They were never heard from again. These kids were small in numbers but their deaths took its toll on the society just below the mountain. These kids were deemed "The Seven". After years of society growing, they blocked the mountain off. The Legend that became warning and now Myth had now been treated as such. Myth.
Then Again, Around the Year 20xx, A new child had moved into the village. His name was Alex. A kind boy that would never hurt a fly. Wearing a yellow jacket and some jeans, he wouldn't stand out much if it weren't for his eyes. His eyes were insanely rare. Only two people every century had it in fact. His eyes were Horizon. A fadeaway sort of a color with yellow going into a crimson color. This led to being singled out.
The one thing that made him so very unique was making him be in pain. To be bullied and made fun of. When the world gave Alex a gift, a boxing glove was coming out. Then, something so... Peculiar happens. For the first time, he made a friend. He was named Jack. They played and played almost every day. It made the pain of having no one subside in Alex.
One Day, Jack wanted to show Alex something. "For your birthday!" Jack said. He blindfolded him and took him into a Car that seemed to be driven by someone else. Maybe a Taxi driver. They seemed to hit a lot of things which made Alex worry but Jack assured him he'd be alright. They eventually stopped and Alex was taken out the car. He was brought outside and felt a rope tie his hand together.
Alex: Jack! Jack, what are you doing?!
Jack took the blindfold off to reveal they were on top of the legendary mountain. Mt. Ebbot.
Alex: Jack, You know this place isn't meant for tourism! We have to get out of here! Untie me!
Jack: Alex... I'd love to, but your eyes... Your beautiful, money-making eyes! They'll fetch a pretty penny!
Alex: Jack, what do you mea-
Alex couldn't speak as he was in unbelievable pain. He stepped back a few steps to get away from his maniac of a "friend". Once he did, He fell. The one thing he could see as he did was A black car, a adult, Jack, and Alex's eye in his hand.
A horrible scream fell down with Alex as blood overflowed from his eye socket.
