Final Battle

Alex stared at Chara until out of nowhere, the light around his body bent into a yellow, transparent six-shooter. He shot a bullet at Chara. She was instantly shot in her leg. Alex walked to her and sat down by her.

Alex: Why do you act like having Hope is a fate worse than death? If you could've accepted Hope, maybe things would be different.

Chara: Shut Up! Shut Up! You don't know anything about me!

Alex: I know you just got shot by me. That's a starter-

Chara summoned a horde of red knives that were too fast for Alex to dodge all of. It stabbed him and made him drop to the ground. However, the light around him bent again into a frying pan. It cooked a egg and fed it to him. It instantly healed all his wounds.

Alex: I see you don't care for my commentary. But don't worry.

Chara got back up and summoned a red knife. Alex grabbed it with his hand and stabbed it back into her body, more so her left hand.

Chara: Look at you, So stuck up you got a God complex already!

Chara pulled the knife out and instantly healed to try and hit Alex but he dodged. The light around Alex's fist turned orange. He punched Chara and knocked her down. She flung another Knife at Alex while she was down, Piercing him.

Chara: Ha! You can't dodge anymore, Hope God?

Alex: No... I just hear so many screams and cheers. So many Wails and Cries of Happiness. I feel countless sins on my back and yet countless amounts of Hope lifting me up. I feel so Omnipotent. Yet all I can do is tell them to shut up so I can pay attention.

Chara got up and healed herself as she stuck Alex multiple times while he continued talking.

Alex: I doubt you feel them though. You're too determined not to care that you've lost the feeling to hear them. You know who I'm talking about right?

Alex's fist turned orange, landing multiple punches to Chara. In a split instance, chara saw figures standing behind Alex, with souls within each one.

Alex: The souls of the fallen.

A purple book appeared in his left hand made of the same light that would bend around him. A pencil was made in his right hand.

Alex: Chara the Determined... And The Hope God Alex... Were falling into a Meadow of Buttercups

Alex de-summoned the pencil and closed the book. He instantly teleported with Chara into a field of flowers.

Alex: I figured I should kill you in a place you'd like.

Light around him bent into a giant blue pointe shoes. They shot out in waves to attack Chara as she got up to run from them.

Chara: It's too bad that you're going to die here! You're so fun to fight too! I'll revive you with Sans when I kill you!

The shoes dissolved into light and went back into Alex's light. It soon turned into a light blue knife. Alex jumped towards Chara as his Knife clashed with hers.

Chara: Maybe a bit of a copycat?

Alex: You know what they say, Patience is Key to finding the Pattern.

Alex pushed onward with his knife and they both tumbled down the field as they continue fighting even then. Until they were both on the floor, fighting to kill the other. Chara was on top of him, fighting and struggling to kill him

Chara: Come on Hope God! You've used everything but your own Determination! Give it a shot!

Alex: I don't need your Determination! I just need to Hope!

The light around Alex bent into a small, golden, and transparent sickle. Alex stabbed her back with the sickle. He used this to go on top of her instead.

Chara: Aww! Are you in love with me?

Alex: Nope! It already looks like you have too much love by the looks of it! Tell me, How many monsters did you kill? How many people did you get to know just to kill them and torture them in this hell?!

Chara: I don't need their names! I just need to kill you and I can go back to my life ruling these idiots!

Alex: That's why everyone needs a little bit of HOPE!

The sickle Alex had pierced through Chara's body and pulled out her soul. It was entirely Crimson with no signs of light.

Alex: So this is your soul... I can work with this.

Alex clutched the soul and the crimson had slowly turned into a soft red.

Chara: Let go of my soul!

Chara tried to grab for her soul but Alex let her have it. While doing so, Chara stabbed though Alex's heart.

Alex: Every soul needs hope... Even the worst of them still need Hope...

Chara put it back into her body and looked like she just realized something. Alex had dropped onto her body at this point.

Chara: Hmm... What have I done?

She shook Alex, hoping he'd get up, but he didn't.

Chara: Wake up! I should've listened! Get the hell up!

Alex: Can you pull this knife out...? This hurts quite a lot...

Chara: You're alive!

Chara pulled the knife out of Alex and the hole in his body healed itself .

Alex: Finally came to the light of it all?

Alex got up and looked at Chara.

Alex: I don't think I can kill you. Not anymore at least.

Chara: Why would you say that?

Alex: People like you before you had Hope, wouldn't tell guys like me to get back up. Plus the fact you got 20000 to 30000 human souls in your body. We'd fight forever in this field.

Alex sat down to watch the sun in the meadow of flowers. Chara did the same

Alex: Flowey told me there was a button that could reset the timeline. That you had it. Can you Reset everything?

Chara summoned the button. The words RESET was on top of it.

Chara: I could, but then I'd have no Hope again. I'll do this all over again. This isn't even my body.

Alex put his hand on her shoulder.

Alex: I'll be with you. That way, you'll have my Hope.

Chara smiled at this gesture Alex tried to offer.

Chara: Alright. Ready?

Alex: Always will be.

The button was pressed and they both faded away into red and golden particles.
