"And you like him back!?!" She squealed. "Do you really think so?" I asked. "Totally!" We got to her house quickly and ran up to her room. I smiled as I breathed in the smell of her room. It smelled like perfume mixed with hairspray and laundry detergent. We sat on her bed and relived every detail of the night. I learned that Ben hadn't actually stood her up but got held up at the store buying her flowers and a James Avery necklace. He had asked her out and she had said yes. I was happy for her, but I didn't really like Ben. I hoped that he wouldn't take away the minor time we had with each other. I texted Seth all night.
