Once I grabbed my bag from homeroom, I got to social studies as fast as I could. There was a seat open next to Halle. I walked quickly to the desk and put my stuff on it. I pulled back the chair and almost sat on a pretty little Michael Khors purse. Correction, Gina's Michael Khors purse. "Gina's umm-well- sitting here." Halle mumbled. Great. I looked around the room I saw one extra spot. Right next to Jack Aabers. Double great. I had had a crush on Jack since first grade. This was a not so secret crush. Practically everyone knew about it... including Jack. I took a deep breath and sat down next to him. "Hey." He mumbled. I nodded. "sitting next to your boyfriend are ya?" A snotty voice called. I recognized it immediately. Luke. I was hoping that I wouldn't have him in any of my classes this year. A roar of laughter followed his comment. I kept my head down for the rest of the class, hoping that math would be better.
