Sibling love

A/n: this was before Daniel moved to la so he's sixteen in this for the imagine and yn is thirteen in this imagine, thanks!

Daniels pov:
I was always the closest to Yn even when we were kids, she helps me with melodies and music and I help her with photography being her model, she's three years younger than me but I love her to bits, I always knew she was terrified of storms ever since she was a kid

It was the weekend so we were all at home, it rarely storms in la but when it does, it's bad, it was around 12am when I heard a strike of lightning and thunder, I got up and walked into Yn's room, knowing she was going to be awake

she was under the blankets shaking, another clap of thunder rolled around and she jumped, I walked over to her bed and put my hand on her head and she jumped, terrified about the storm outside, she slowly pulled the covers down and my eyes softened, she had tears steaming down her facd and she had rosy cheeks, as soon as she saw me she immediately hugged me, I held onto her tight and brought her into my room, she was shaking like mad and tears were steaming down her face

I put my hand on the back of her head and stroked her head. "it's alright bub, you're ok, I got you" i whispered trying to calm her down
(A/n: everyone would call you bub as a nickname in your family) "th-thanks d-dani" she stuttered. Another clap of thunder rolled and she hugged me tighter, I lied down with her on my chest and rubbed her back, I hate seeing her so scared, she's like my best friend and I always want to keep her safe

"I'm sorry" I heard her mumble, i furrowed my eyebrows and looked down at her. "why are you sorry?" I asked. "because I woke you up because of the storm" I chuckled looked down at her. "yn, it's fine, it's understandable that your terrified of storms and any of us will help you, no matter where we are, ok?" I said. She slowly nodded and her me tighter, knowing this storm is going to last the night

I kept rubbing her back and looked over at my clock on my beside table

01:28am

I looked down at Yn and saw she was slowly falling asleep, I chuckled. "bub, go to sleep, I'll be here to protect you" i whispered. "thank you dani, love you" she mumbled. "love you too" i whispered back. I felt her fall asleep on me, I felt asleep as well

Morning:
I woke up around 6am and saw Yn still asleep, I heard the door open and saw my mom on the other side, she saw yn asleep on me and walked over to us, she sat on the side of my bed and rubbed Yn's back

"how was she last night?" Mom asked. "terrified, she apologised about being scared of storms" I laughed. Mom just laughed. "that girl apologises for everything, even if it's not her fault" She put her hand up to her face and moved her hair out of the way, I looked down and saw yn with tear stained and rosy cheeks, mom sighed and rubbed her hair

"poor girl, I hate to see her like this" Mom whispered. "me too" I sighed. "did she ever tell you why she's terrified of storms?" She asks, looking up at me. I shook my head. "no, I just thought it was a natural fear like spiders or snakes" I thought. Mom laughed and looked back down at Yn.

"she started getting terrified of storms when she was five. her and her best friend were outside playing and me and her mom were inside catching up, we didn't think much of it because they always went out, after about ten minutes, out of nowhere, a storm came, Yn and Mia were still outside, until we heard a lightning strike and a scream"

Mom had tears rolling down her cheeks, I didn't like where this story was going
"when we ran out we saw Yn on the ground shaking Mia, she was unconscious, she got hit with lightning in the arm and it terrified Yn that, that happened to her best friend" Mom continued. "is Mia ok?" I asked her. "we brought her to hospital and they told us she was ok, she has a lightning scar on her arm, that's why she's terrified of storms because-"
"because she almost lost her best friend" I finished for mom. She nodded and wiped her eyes, I looked down at Yn and smiled, this girl is so strong.

After mom left and went downstairs to start breakfast, I felt Yn shift and slowly wake up, I smiled down at her and hugged her. "how you feeling bub?" I asked. "better than last night, sorry again" she sighed "yn it's fine I swear, mom told me why your terrified" I explained
She looked down and picked at her nails. "yeah, ever since that happened I'm so scared that it would happen to any of you guys" she whispered. "I promise you bub, that will never happen, ok?" She nodded and smiled at me" I promised her

"wanna go down and get food" I asked knowing someone's awake downstairs. "sure" she smiled
We walked down and saw everyone else up. "good morning" Anna beamed. "morning" Yn smiled. "that storm was mad last night" Christian exclaimed. "yeah, it was, you ok Yn?" Tyler asked. "yeah, Daniel helped me through it" she explained. Me, Tyler and Christian walked into the sitting room, Tyler and Christian walked over to me and hugged me
"thanks for helping baby sis" Christian smiled "no problem" I smiled back. "stop calling me that!" We heard her yell from the kitchen
"no promises" we all yelled back at the same time. We all laughed and the storm passed after an hour and we all decided to go out for lunch with the boys.

A/n: this idea was from my cousin, it never happened to any of us but she's terrified that it'll happen to one of us, because of that I made and imagine out of it and she really like it :)
