Final part
A few weeks later

There had been news that Jeonghan had been arrested with a charge of kidnapping. It was good news for us we no longer had to worry that he was going to come and attack us once again. Now all of our attention had been shifted towards celebrating our daughter's birthday.

Kun was handing out invitation to all of his friends, as if they weren't already going to attend. "hey um y/n?" I looked over at Lucas who looked visibly confused. "Yeah?" I asked wondering what nonsense he was going to say since he had such a bad habit at doing that. He fiddles with his fingers before looking at me ready to tell me what's been bothering him. "Look I know you and the breadwinner are planning a birthday for the most beautiful human in the world..." he stops and looks away from me. "But.. what exactly do you get for them?" He asks me with the most serious expression written in his face.

I looked over at the rest of the boys, they had the exact same look in their eyes. This can't be the first time they ever attend a birthday party for a baby, surely they've attended. "Guys it's simple babies like toys and food so let's get her that" Jaemin whose at least had some experience, of course being the uncle that likes to spoil his niece. The boys nod understanding what he means, "okay I know toys are fun and all but shouldn't we get her clothes since she's growing so fast?" Taeyong asks trying to sound reasonable.

Their response to what Taeyong had said had mixed reactions. Some of them said they agreed and that a growing baby should have lots of clothes since a she's growing so fast. While the others said that babies and kids around her age don't really care for clothes and that they much rather be playing with toys. "Guys Areum isn't going to care what you guys get her." Kun interrupts the boys. "She's gonna be one she doesn't have opinions yet" he says. A smirk soon appears on his face, "plus her mom's and dad's gift is always going to be the best and her favorite" he says acting all confident. I give him a pinch, "honey all Areum wants in her grandparents" I say with a light chuckle.

Everyone started laughing, it was nice everything was going back to normal. Even Taeyong decided to stop doing all the illegal stuff.

I leaned against the door as he walked out of the house. It was upsetting that he was going to the club without me but it's only fair if I let him hang out with his friends. "I'll be back late so don't wait for me" he says kissing my lips. "Wasn't planning on it" I say earning a flick on the forehead from him.

Upon entering the nursery Areum was sitting on the floor playing with her toys. I sit on the floor with her, "guess it's a girls day" she gives me a smile handing me her toys that were covered in her saliva. Suddenly it made me realize that the only friends I have are my daughter and husband. I didn't mind they are all I really need.

"Areum let's try on your Alice dress" Areum who looked at me confused gets up and starts running away from me. We continue chasing each other until she finally got tired and went to sleep in her crib.

I glanced at the clock it was only 8 o'clock. This was boring but it would be wrong to have him come back here so soon. My phone begins to ring, it was from the police station.

"Hello?"

"Is this Mrs. Qian"

"Yes May I ask who this is"

"This is the police station, Mr. Yoon has escaped we are only letting you know"

My heart dropped, Areum's birthday was next week. I didn't want to worry about that monster ruining everything. I was pacing back and forth when the doorbell rang. Kun couldn't be home so soon it could only mean one thing. With shaky hands I grabbed the phone and dialed his number but the line wasn't picking up. The music was too loud.

With a bat in hand i inched closer to the door. From the peephole it was clearly Jeonghan sitting at the bottom of the door. "Y/n I need to talk to you" he sang out. My heart was racing and my own husband wasn't answering the door. Just as I was about to open the door the officers came to the door step. "Sir just tell her that I'm sorry and that I will come back" they took him away.

Startled I jolted up from my bed, it was only a bad dream. It was like this now when Kun wasn't here I dreamt of the horrors I witnessed. The time now read 2am, he should be home by now. I went into the kitchen after checking on my daughter. I took a small pot of water to heat up to make some tea. My phone didn't have any missed calls from him.

I brewed my tea and sat in the kitchen looking over at Areum's birthday plans.

I felt my body be picked up from the chair. Sleepily i looked to see Kun taking me into our bedroom. I was relieved to see him that I kissed his lips he instantly kissed me back. From how sloppy he was being I could tell he was drunk. He laid us down on the bed not letting me get out of his hold.

I felt a sense of safeness being in his arms after that horrifying nightmare. I sleepily began to close my eyes as Kun silently slept with his face buried in the crook of my neck. With him in my arms I slowly fell asleep.

A week later (the day of the party)

When I had woken up Kun was already gone, I lazily crawled out of bed and fixed it up. Once I had stepped out of the room I headed straight towards Areum's.

From the outside her room was quiet, which was suspicious since that little baby. I opened the door to see Kun and Areum laying on the floor quietly sleeping. I didn't say anything but left the room.

I had a big day ahead of me and starting early was the best thing. I opened the decorations and laid them out on the garage floor as I pressed the button of the garage. From the other side Ten was already there holding his gift. "I came a little early figured I could help" he says walking in. We both move and set some tables decorating them with the party theme.

We had almost finished when Kun and Areum finally joined us. I took her from him as he gave me my morning kiss. "Go get ready, I'll finish up here and get the catering and cake" he says pushing me towards the door.

Everything went smoothly, Areum had the best time. Kun wrapped his arm around my waist as we watched our daughter open her presents with her friends. "I love you" I say kissing him. He smiles against my lips, "love you more, can you believe our bundle of joy is one" I nod trying not to tear up. "I know they grow up so fast" he nods as grandma brings Areum to us.

Hand in hand we look ahead as the camera flashes.

Despite everything we were going to live a happy life. Loving each other forever if this whole thing didn't tear us apart nothing.

We were meant to be together.

The end! I had such an amazing time writing this book it might be one of my favorites. I'm sorry if the ending sucks I was honestly struggling to write it because I didn't want it to end but it was needed.
