𖠋𖠋

It was a chilly February afternoon as Harry led me down two flights of staircases and onto the fifth floor.

Sparing all the details from me and leaving out who gave him this information, the brunet haired boy led me into a large bathroom on the fifth floor; The Prefects bathroom.

The room was decorated in white tile with a large tub in the middle and hundreds of faucets that all hung sturdily above the tub.

"Why are we in here, Harry?" I question, the nerves starting to catch up to me.

"I need to soak this egg in the water. Just relax and help me" he replies, pulling off his robe.

I stare at him blankly as he kicks off his shoes, pulling his sweater vest and his button-up off, exposing his chest.

"Harry!" I shout, turning away from him and shielding my eyes as my cheeks stung with embarrassment.

He plops into the bath, the sound of the water filling up the large tub engulfing the tiled room.

"Please tell me you're not going to take all day" the boy groans.

"What!" I shrill. "What makes you think I'm getting in?"

"I won't look" he adds. "I just need you to help me with this egg"

I let out a breath before kicking off my shoes, pulling off his scarf and setting it neatly on top of my clothes.

"Close your eyes" I mumble, looking back over my shoulder.

"They're closed" he replies.

I let out a breath before walking towards the tub and entering quickly, my face hot.

Harry finally opens his eyes, staring at me briefly before staring at the egg.

"Who told you about this, Harry?" I inquire, my hair sticking to the back of my neck.

"It doesn't matter" he retorts, holding the egg above the water.

I stare at him sourly, my eyes glazed.

"You're mad at me, Blythe" the boy says, his green eyes staring at me.

"I'm not" I mutter.

"You are" he corrects. "I can see the way you look at me. You're annoyed"

I let out a sigh, staring at the sweet smelling bubbles on the surface of the water.

"Y'know you can come closer right?" the boy inform after awhile. "I won't hex you"

I let out a chuckle before approaching him, leaving comfortable room between us. "I just want you to figure this egg out, Harry. I don't want you to lose focus because of me"

"I won't lose focus because of you" he assures. "if anything, you distancing yourself from me is making me lose focus.

I let out a sigh, staring at the golden egg bobbing on the surface of the water.

"Have you tried completely submerging it?" I question.

"Yeah, but nothing happens" the boy replies letting out a frustrated sigh.

"Who told you about this?" I pry, staring at the boy.

"Why do you care so much, Blythe?" the boy hisses.

"Because I just want to know!" I retort.

"It was Cedric, alright? Since you care so damn much" he spits agitatedly.

"Why do you always seem to get so upset whenever I ask you something simple?" I mutter, feeling as though I'd rather be anywhere else then in here with him.

"Why do you always have to know everything?" he replies harshly. "I guess that's where you and Diggory are alike, he never seems to lack questions when it comes to you"

"You're still angry about Cedric asking me to the ball" I accuse, my eyebrows furrowed as I stare at him. "That's what this is about? That's why you wouldn't tell me?"

Harry stays silent, his gaze focused on the golden egg. "I know something happened between you two" he starts, not meeting my gaze. "There's no way he'd want to walk you to all your lessons if something didn't"

"Nothing happened between us, Harry" I hiss, glaring at him. "I don't know why you're throwing this back in my face"

"Because I know you're lying to me!" he shouts. "What was so important that Cedric had to talk to you after the ball that you forgot that your best friend wanted to speak to you?"

"Can we just focus on this stupid egg?" I question heatedly, my tone harsh. "If you wanted to give me the third degree again you could've picked a more ideal place than a bathtub"

Tense silence befell us once more as I stare at the beautiful stained glass window. A beautiful golden mermaid sat, stroking her gold sheet hair with her fingers.

"The black lake" I whisper. "I think this has something to do with the lake"

Harry's eyes meet mine as he he stares at the golden egg.

"Have you tried opening it underneath the water?" I inquire, staring at the boy.

And at that it seemed like a lightbulb had went off in both of our heads as we both suck in a breath before heading underneath the water.

I squint my eyes slightly as I stare at the egg, waiting for Harry to open it.

The brunet haired boy twists it before being greeted with a bright light and a sweet angelic voice.

Come seek us where our voices sound, we can not sing above the ground

An hour long you'll have to look

to discover what we took.

Harry and I share a look before coming back up for air, our chests heaving as we took in air.

"What does that mean?" I question breathlessly, staring at the egg bobbing on the surface of the water.

"I dunno" the brunet haired boy replies.
