"Pack my things. We're leaving on the boat tomorrow."

"I already have, milord."

"What a good dog I've got. What is the status of your luggage?"

"Packed alongside yours, milord."

"You truly do know how to deliver. Wrap up the business we've got, and I will see you when we leave."

"Yes, Milord."

"Off you go. You've wasted enough of my time already."

The young man flicked his hand, and dismissed his 'dog', whom in turn got up from the kneeling position. They left as silently and as quickly as they came.
How long had it been since he picked up that stray? Two weeks? Three? No matter. They were an efficient learner. It only took a few... study lessons to get them to memorise his every need.

It was strange. The man hadn't asked them about their history. He wasn't sure when, or if he even would. While he could argue that he did not care, one simply couldn't help but wonder how someone this diligent ended up at his side. The more he thought, the more curious he grew. Would it be a sad sob-story? Would it be a mundane story, with nothing interesting to offer?

The man slouched on his chair as he sunk further into his thoughts, before falling asleep right then and there. A well needed rest before his voyage.

One that would bring him back to his home country.
