Chapter 24 I Walk Alone In The Rain

Chapter 24 Zayn’s p.o.v

I turn in the hall to look over at Jasmine who is standing at her locker grabbing her books, and then it happens. Bryan Jacobs walks up to her. I overheard her talking about how “cute” he is with Wendy Miller. I can’t tell what their talking about but I can see a slight blush on Jasmine’s cheeks. She laughs. I turn so she won’t catch me looking at her and start to grab things in my locker.

After a while Jasmine walks up to me.

“You ready for Chemistry?” She asks.

“Yeah, hey what were you and Bryan talking about?” I say grabbing my books and closing my lockers. I look at her face to see she’s blushing.

“What?” I ask.

“It’s just… he called me cute… and we’re going out on Saturday!” She says happily. I’m shocked and my heart breaks. I want to date Jasmine! Why would she even want to date that loser anyway!? I act as if it doesn’t bother me as we walk to class. Once we walk in and take our seats we listen to what the teacher says. But I'm to busy thinking of Bryan hugging, holding hands, and maybe even kissing MY GIRL! Sure she's not "my girl" but in my head she is... does that make me a stalker or something... whatever, It just hurts to think of some guy with Jasmine, I mean if he hurts her he won't know what pain will feels like until I hit him!

By the end of class we walk out together and to our lockers. Of course who’s waiting at her locker? Bryan. I try to hear their conversation and before I know it she walks away with him, he’s probably going to give her a ride. He’s in none of our classes because he’s a senior and we’re sophomores. So I walk alone and it starts to rain so I end up walking alone in the rain (see what I did there?). By the time I get home Jasmine is already home, and I know this because Bryan’s car is parked out front. I start to think about what could possibly be going on inside her house and before I know it I’ve rang the doorbell and Jasmine answers.

“Hey Zayn what’s up?” She asks.

I look down at my feet thinking of a reason why I would be here.

“Um… I was wondering…. If your not to busy, If you wanted to come over, maybe we could even have one of our famous movie nights, you know because my sisters are at friends houses for the weekend and stuff like that…” I say and look up at her.

“You know I’m never to busy to spend time with you! Let me just get ready and I’ll be right over. I nod and walk back to my house and sit on the steps. I watch as Bryan leaves the house a minute later and Jasmine makes her way over to me. The closer she gets the more my heartbeat rapidly increases. I don’t know how she does this to me.

“So what movie do we start with?” She asks with her beautiful smile and sparkling eyes.

“I don’t know let’s see what we have like movies.” I say getting up and we walk into my house.
