Chapter 18 Jasmine’s P.O.V
“Zayn! Hurry up!” I yell as I run down the beach. I was so glad to be at the beach. Zayn’s mom and mine sit on a blanket farther away as they talk. Zayn’s dad took his sisters to a water park, but Zayn and I wanted to go to the beach.
“I’m coming!” He yells as he runs after me. It’s one day after my 8th birthday. I jump into the water and start splashing around in the waves.
Zayn runs into the water, even though he can’t swim he always makes the effort whenever I want to swim.
After swimming for a while we walk back to where our mums are. “Mum can we go to the boardwalk?” Zayn asks. They smile at us. “Sure, we’ll come with.” They get up and we all walk down the boardwalk. Zayn grabs my hand and we start swinging our arms around.
“Look at that store!” Zayn’s mum says and drags my mom into a store, Zayn and I fallowing. I go over to the bracelets and spot a blue and black rope one. “Wow… it’s pretty.” I say. “Why don’t you get it?” Zayn asks. “Because I don’t have any money.” I say turning to look at him. “I have money, I’ll buy it for you, as a gift.” He says. I shake my head. “Zayn, no. Keep your money.” Zayn shakes his head at me. “No I want to get it for you so I’m getting it for you.” He walks up to the cash with the bracelet and comes back.
“Come on.” Our mums say as they walk through the door, we fallow. We stop outside the store. “You two stay here, we’ll go get ice cream.” My mum says. She walks away and I turn to Zayn.
He grabs my hand and slips the bracelet onto my wrist.
“There,” He says. I smile up at him. “Thank you.” I say. He smiles. “I love you.” He says. I smile wider at him. “I love you too.”
He shakes his head. “No I love you in more then a friend way.” He says. I stand there shocked. “What? But were only 8 we can’t have does feelings.” I state. He shrugs. “I guess but I still love you.” He says. I smile at him. “And I love you and this bracelet.” I say before pecking his cheek. He smiles at me.
We spend the rest of the day at the beach. It’s starting to get dark and we watch as the sun sets and the stars come out. Zayn and I sit on a blanket. He grabs my hand. “I love you.” I lean my head on his shoulder. “I love you too.” As the sun leaves I look up at Zayn who looks down at me. I smile. Before I know it my lips are pressed to his. The kiss is sweet and only lasts for a second but it was amazing.
