Aardvark
Mythology: African
It's an ordinary Aardvark but the difference between this one and our usual concept of the mammal, is that this Aardvark’s flesh and bones contains magical powers. The Hausa magicians grind parts of the Aardvark like the heart, forehead, skin and nails together with the root of an unknown tree to create enchanted items. The enchanted items were then wrapped in skin and may worn on one’s chest to give them a special magical power. This power allows the wearer to pass through roofs and walls at night. It is said that thieves tend to obtain such magic items and use the ability to swiftly enter people’s homes to steal little girls. The Aardvark is a completely fearless animal.
