Danny managed to lie his way out of staying home by telling our mother that he hit a curb while riding a bike, I almost facepalmed in front of her, but surprisingly she believed him.

I had never seen Daniel so excited to go to school the next day, "Soccer tryouts are today, and you know what that means?" He asked as we biked to school. "Hm?" I hum.

"That means that Cheerleading tryouts are today, and that means that our new friend is going to be there." I roll my eyes, Ali had stopped by our house after and flagged Danny outside, she apologized again and regained my blessing to hang out with him. It was so silly, but I figured she must really like him.

"Do you know what Cheerleading and Soccer tryouts means?" I ask him, returning the question.

"Hmm?" He mocks my hum.

"Track tryouts." I smirk and continue looking forward. I was short, but I was the fastest runner in New Jersey, winning state champion three years in a row, with no one even touching my times.

"They shouldn't even make you tryout! Honestly you're going to be a big asset for this team, Jo." Daniel has always been proud of my accomplishments.

We talk the rest of the ride about scenarios that could come about on our first day, and answers to questions that we could be asked. It would be odd to pedestrians passing us but we've been doing this since seventh grade, it's a coping mechanism to say the least.

I lock my black bike with lightning bolts painted on the sides, and Danny does the same with his plain red one when we roll into the parking lot of the school.

We walk in, and my twin goes to his Junior classes whereas I go to my Senior ones. We're the same age, but I skipped grade nine.

I check the crumpled schedule in my bag, first class; AP History, then Advanced Physics followed by lunch, then AP English, and Spanish.

My first class went by easy enough, a quick icebreaker followed by introduction to advanced American History, I didn't talk to anyone in my class.

Physics and English was similar, and during lunch I sat with Daniel and Ali.

Spanish, was unfortunately my downfall.

I was excellent at Spanish, it wasn't that I was bad at it I was Italian for christ's sake, I had practically been speaking it my whole life since the two languages were related so closely.

No my problem was the students in my class.

I was one of the first kids there, and I sat in the front corner, away from everyone else but still in the front.

The only empty seats were the ones beside me, and that was fair because I hadn't really introduced myself to the Seniors and they had their own friends. A deep part of me was still hurt though, but I pushed it down.

The lesson was going fine, until the teacher left to get something from the printer and the class erupted into chatter. I picked up the book that I stored in my bag and started reading, that's why I didn't notice the five boys that walked into my class.

Although they had ditched their red leather jackets for normal school clothes, I recognized them immediately.

The leader, Johnny, sat beside me. When I feel the presence beside me look up, we both look at eachother and scowl.

The one who grabbed me sat behind me, ironically, and his nose had a bandage over the bridge, my doing no doubt.

A slightly taller one with platinum blonde hair sat behind Johnny, and the other two took seats between those three.
