Carlos' POV

I didn't really sleep last night.

How could I sleep knowing what happened.

TK. Flawless, beautiful TK was a rat.

It didn't sound like him. TK wasn't the kind of person you'd expect to be a traitor. TK was kind and smart, he acted more like a mentor to his capos than a boss.

I listened to all of the audio recordings on Tk's computer hoping to find something. The only thing I found was that my dad was right. TK was a rat.

A traitor.

I lied awake all night wondering what all had been a lie.

He was always so dismissive when I spoke with him. Was it because he was worried about getting caught? Was he scared of me?

I couldn't take it anymore.

So in the early morning after getting no sleep the night before, I decided to make my way to the underground holding cells where he was being kept.

It was still dark outside when I started walking through the halls. The entire building was quiet, which was weird because it's never quiet. There's always someone running, screaming, or shooting something.

I continued creeping through the halls trying not to wake any sleeping members.

There was a guard standing in front of the basement door, but as expected he instantly stepped out of my way to let me through.

He kept a straight face as I pulled open the door and stepped through it.

I walked down the stairs silently, not wanting to scare TK with loud noises.

Once I finished walking down the stairs and could see him clearly I was shocked.

There he was. TK, the human embodiment of perfection, sitting on the ground slumped against the wall, bleeding.

It's not uncommon for people in TK's position to get beat, but damn they really did a number on him.

TK had very prominent bruising on his left temple, blood was spilling from both his nostrils, and he had a bit of blood running down his chin from a busted lip. I scanned the rest of his body with my eyes, checking for other injuries. All he had was a hand shaped bruise on his arm, probably from one of the guards that dragged him away.

As I analyzed his injuries from a far, TK shifted and looked towards me.

"What do you want?" He slurred due to his busted lip.

I took a deep breath looking at TK. I didn't answer his question I just walked across the room to grab the first aid kit kept in the basement.

TK didn't say anything, just followed me with his eyes.

I knelt down next to him, putting my hand on his chin in order to move his head, trying to get a better look at the bruising on his temple.

I opened the first aid kit and started to clean the blood from his face.

It was very difficult and took close to forty minutes to get all the blood off his face, and even then there was still more visible bruising that hid under the blood.

I sighed sitting next to him on the wall. TK turned his head to look at me better. The bruises made him look like a victim of a horrific crime, not like a traitor.

TK continued staring at me, while I was to distracted by the fact that our legs were touching.

TK took deep breath from next to me.

"I- uh, thought you were coming in here to beat me." He said truthfully.

I sighed deeply before wrapping an arm around his shoulders. I felt him go stiff before relaxing and leaning more against me slightly.

"I don't think I could ever hurt you cariño." I told him as my hand started to gently stroke his back.

TK didn't move away from me, he laid silently with his bruised head on my shoulder.
