Carlos' POV

I had asked to meet with my parents today.

The 3 of us were in my dad's office, my mother was sitting in my dad's desk chair while he stood directly behind her. I was sitting in the chair on the other side of the desk.

My mom was smiling at me, my father on the other hand looked stoic as usual.

"What did you call us here for Carlitos." My mom said smiling.

I suddenly felt very nervous. I was so chill when I rehearsed this in my head.

"Um, well-"

"Don't start your sentences with, um, Carlos." My father cut me off.

" Sorry dad." I apologized quickly.

My mom shot my father an annoyed look.

"Keep going Carlitos." My mom said, still smiling.

"Well mom, dad," I took a deep breath, " I know who I want to marry."

My mother practically squealed.

"You have!" She jumped up from where she was sitting and ran to hug me.

"That's wonderful son." My father said to me with a slight smile on his face.

"Who is it? I need to meet my future daughter or son-in-law immediately!" My mother said still happy as ever.

"Well, uh, you already know him." I admitted.

"Who is it?" My father asked

I mentally prepared myself for my parents reactions to the name I was about to say.

"TK Strand."

...

"What!" My father yelled.

"Please tell me this is a joke." He said angrily.

"It's not a joke dad." I told him

"There are so many other men you could marry." He spat with rage.

"I know dad, but I want to marry TK." I tried to keep a calm tone when speaking to him.

My father let out an angry sigh.

"Gabriel please, calm down. Don't freak out." My mother spoke softly.

" How are you not freaking out Andrea!" He started pacing slightly. " Our son wants to marry that traitor!" He screamed.

"Carlos is a grown man. He chooses who he marries." My mother started talking in a commanding voice.

My father sighed.

"Son I'm not happy about this." He said flatly.

"I know." I said while my mom rubbed up and down on my arm.

"But you are a man, and as much as I hate this I need to let you make your own mistakes."

"Really?" I asked, smiling.

"Yes, really. Set a time, and we'll sign the papers right here." He held a straight face while talking.

"Thank you dad." I couldn't stop smiling at the thought of TK being my husband.

"Congratulation Carlitos." My mom said happily before pulling me into another hug.
