You're in an established relationship with Helen and today is the day she is to meet your parents for the first time.

The sunlight came in through the cracks in the blinds. Your eyes slowly open and a lazy grin spreads across your face as you notice Helen is still sleeping. She's lying on your chest, her mouth hanging slightly open. Bloody hell she's adorable.
You glance at the alarm clock on your bedside table.
8:05 AM
You both had to get up soon in order to make it to brunch with your parents. It was a shame to have to wake her when she was sleeping so peacefully though.
You placed a soft kiss on her forehead, her nose and both of her cheeks. Although she hadn't opened her eyes it was obvious she was awake when she pursed her lips hoping for a kiss there too. You kissed her on her lips and she broke into a grin.
"Morning love" she said, voice thick with sleep.
"Good morning Hel" you say with a chuckle.
With her eyes still closed she cuddled closer into you. "Must we really get up? Can we not stay a little longer in bed?"
"We really must get up, we should've been up half an hour ago it's already past 8" you point out.
She let out a noise that was somewhere between a grumble and a sigh burying her face in your chest.
"Come on sweetheart..." you say "I'm not sure being late is the kind of impression you want the first time you meet my parents."
"Fine" she mumbled still not making an attempt to move. "On one condition though."
"What is that?" You ask her.
"If we get up you owe me a kiss before we leave"
"Helen, if you get up now I'll give you as many kisses as you would like before we leave." You whisper into her ear.
She sat up quickly, with a cheeky grin plastered on her face. " we'll be very late then."
"Within reason" you add. "As many as you want that won't make us late"
She pouts at that and you roll your eyes playfully.
"You do realise" you say. "The quicker you're ready the longer we have."
At that she jumped up and walked over to the closet. She searched for awhile before pulling out an outfit and changing.
Once you were both ready Helen glances at her watch which read 9:25 AM.
"That's not fair... I spend all this time getting ready to impress your parents and then I'm only left with five minutes to kiss you..." she pouts.
You walk over to her and place a hand on the back of her neck and the other on her cheek. "Well we best make the most of our limited time then." You lean forward and kiss her, she quickly begun kissing you back.

You both arrived at the agreed upon cafe only five minutes late.
You glance at your phone and see a text message that your parents are running twenty minutes late due to traffic.
"Looks like they're late as well" you say showing Helen your phone.
She shoots you an annoyed glance before walking inside.
"Baby what was that look for?" You ask, concerned she's genuinely annoyed with you.
She turns to you and flashes a grin to show she wasn't truly annoyed. "I'm just a little frustrated that I could've kissed you for another ten minutes and we still would've arrived before them."
She takes a seat at a table by the far wall and you sit in the seat beside her. You lean forward and whisper into her ear, "I promise I'll make up for it when we get home."
As you pull away you see she's gone beet red and you can't help but chuckle at that. You find her hand under the table and give it a squeeze so that she looks up at you. "I love you Helen."
"I love you too, honey."
