Chapter 1 "The field trip"

Let's start off by introducing Calvin. Calvin is a 15 year old kid who lives in Utah. He goes to cedar grove high school and lives alone with his mom. Calvin doesn't really do well with people, and doesn't have many friends. He plays football for the Cedar Grove Wildcats. He's usually plays left bench but sometimes he gets in. Calvin's a pretty decent looking guy. He's not particularly good looking, he just has curly hair. That's the only reason girls even look in his direction.

Calvin wakes up to the sound of his alarm clock
screaming in his ear. He groans as he slowly crawls out of bed and prepares for the school day. After he washed up and dressed himself he looked in the mirror. Faded jeans, boots and a belt buckle. Pretty usual fit for him. He walked down the stairs and into the kitchen to talk to his mom before he left.

"How'd you sleep?" asked his mother

"Like a rock". replied Calvin

" I'm surprised you're up and ready this early" Said mom

"Well, the football team is taking a trip to That new mall up the road." Calvin said

"Ugh, why do you wait last minute to tell me anything?" His mom said

"It's fine, I don't need any money or anything."

Just as he said that, he thought to himself how truly excited he was for this field trip. It was so highly anticipated at school. Calvin wasn't one to jump on a bandwagon, but if he told you he wasn't loosing sleep over it, he'd be lying.

Calvin was off to Cedar Grove high-school, Calvin's school. He glances towards the window seeing the passing houses and trees. His school was in a pretty remote area. He noticed that the trees were beginning to loose their leaves as he drifted off to sleep in the passenger seat.

He arrived at school and walked into the cafeteria for breakfast. After getting a general consensus from the principle and the coach, everyone was sent outside into small groups.
He walked up to his bus and saw one of his buddies, Jonathan waiting for him. Well Jonathan was really his only buddy.

"You're a little early, bus leaves at 8, remember?" Said Jonathan naggingly

"Then I guess we're both early then dumbass". Calvin said

"Hurry so we can secure a seat on the back of the bus".

They rushed to the rear of the bus and promptly sat down with the satisfaction of knowing they secured the best seat on the bus.

You could hear a pen drop, on that bus. No one was talking or anything. Probably because they chose to schedule a field trip at 8 in the morning. Football team always gets fucked over by the school.

"Are we anywhere near this stupid mall?"
Asked Jonathan, breaking the silence

"Hell if I know". Said Calvin

Just then, the bus came to a stop with a loud hissing noise. They had finally arrived to long awaited Pizza Plex. Calvin heard the bus driver yelling for everyone to get off the bus and form a line outside of the bus

"Ok I need everyone to form a single file line please" said the bus driver

"Just remember to stay with the rest of the group, make sure to hand out our pamphlets to as many people as you can fine. Bus leaves at 3 be safe!" Yelled the Bus driver
