That morning what looked to be 3 k-9 police units and a search party entered the building. His mother wasn't there. It was still before opening hours so they had to breach the front of the building. The entered with flashlights as they spread out at searched for him. The police dogs were immediately hot on his trail. He saw them, he wanted to say goodbye to Roxy but he didn't have enough time. She was in her recharge station. So he found a pen near her mirror and wrote a note on a napkin. He put it next to the recharge station before he left.
6:31pm
"You're never going back there ever again!" His mother exclaimed
"I don't even trust you to leave the house anymore!"Said Calvin's mother
"Mom I didn't have my phone, I had literally no way of coming home.." said Calvin
10:03 pm
Calvin was in anguish. All he could think about was her. He missed her, so very badly. All he could think about was her eyes. The little moments they had together. He had to find a way to make it back to her.
Roxy came out of her recharge station at around 9 that morning. She immediately noticed Calvin was gone. She frantically searched for him, even going as far as asking Monty if he had seen him. To no avail. She walked back into her room bawling her eyes out. She then noticed the note.
"Roxy, I don't have enough time to say goodbye to you so I'm writing you this note. Thank you for giving me the time of my life. The police are here looking for me, I don't have much time. I promise I will come back for you, I will find a way.
-Calvin".
She sat there on the couch Calvin had been on a few hours before. Silently sobbing. He was the only person she had ever cared for. She had high tech AI programming. She was sentient. But her feelings were still limiting. Yet in Calvin's case, she cared for him so deeply and intensely. Like she was a real person. It confused her. She had never really thought about how her brain worked before but this situation made her think about it.
Freddy, Chica, and Monty stepped into her room. Monty had explained to them what had happened. Chica embraced her as Monty and Freddy sat down attempting to comfort her.
Calvin woke to the sound of his alarm clock screaming in his ear once again. His eyes were bloodshot. He felt empty. He didn't know what to do with himself. He didn't prepare for school that day. He threw on some new clothes and dragged himself down the stairs.Once again he and his mother were on the way to Shady Grove high-school... again.
That day was agony for him. Every minute on the hour was a painful reminder he wouldn't ever be able to go back to the PizzaPlex. It kept playing over in his mind over and over again. The image of her stained his mind. The way she would hold his hand, she way she would go out of her way for him. He was in love with a robot. "Your such a loser Calvin". He thought
"She's a damn robot how is she making me feel like this?" It was almost like she put a spell on him. She wasn't a real person. Calvin was so frustrated at himself. He didn't know how they would even make it work. She couldn't just come live with him, and he couldn't go back to the pizza plex. So how? Every part of him wanted to stay with her for the rest of his life. She was his escape from his sad reality. And now he couldn't have her.
"I have a plan"."You better not be thinking what I think your thinking". Said Chica.
