Waking to the sun penetrating my eyes I feel something is off. A note drops on my head and falls to the cold ground. It was small. Same handwriting that the book I found had.
Your family must pay for your betrayal...
That was all that was written. I threw the note in my trash bin because it could just be another student playing a prank on me. After all I am new here. Not thinking anything of what just happened I pull myself out of bed and find something casual to wear.
Not a knock on the door like usual. Just complete silence. Other than students in the distance either fooling around or horse playing.
I leave my dorm to wonder around the castle so I'm aware where all my classes are. I spot Malfoy unaccompanied by his clingy girl. Approaching him, Blaise gives me a not so welcoming look.
"You're welcome." I state directly to Malfoy.
"What for?" He hissed laughing with Blaise glued by his side.
"For taking care of your ass last night." I argue.
"I barely even know your name let alone talk to you. I think you're mental." He grinned.
Blaise just laughed.
Not going to even bother. I walk away letting him win. Grace and Eve seem to have forgotten about me already and by the looks of it right now, her full attention is turned towards the Weasley twins.
Wondering for a few hours I found my way to the library. I'm not a huge reader but ever since weird things have happened to me since I've arrived I think it's best I start searching for answers.
"Looking for anything specific." Hermione questions looking around the corner.
"Not really. Just trying to get away from some people." I complain while browsing things on the shelf.
"If you are talking about Malfoy, he's like that with everybody. Don't take it to heart. He's quite selfish." She went on.
"Yeah I've noticed." I added on while she holds about 20 books in her hands.
"I've just been doing some light reading. I suggest staying away from Malfoy for a while if he really bothers you that much." She warned as she turned to her books.
I leave her be for a while and make my way back to my dorm. I kept what she had said in mind. Everyone seems to have their place but I'm not really sure where mines at. I just reread many entry's in my mothers diaries trying to understand why things are happening to me.
An owl sits perched on my balcony so I grab the note but this one is different than the one before. Attached to the note is an object I dont grab yet.
Come over for some tea, we'll talk. N.M
I grab the object and it was just as I expected, a port key. Im suddenly in a dining room while a figure comes around the corner. She's dressed so elegantly. The place is decorated rather dark. I observe this lady and she is wearing the same locket I'm wearing. Must be Narcissa that I've read about in the diaries.
"Come sit down dear, you must be confused and I'm sorry for that." She says softly.
"Should I know you? And why do weird things keep happening to me?" I ask out of pure panic.
"I know you have so many questions. I'll answer them all, don't worry. First, I'm your mothers friend. Your mother feared that if you were to come back here you would get scooped up in our mess but I promise you, you won't." She comforts.
After a while she explains things that the dairies couldn't. A mother so sweet unlike her cold son that doesn't seem to have any manors. She sends her house elves to make some dinner and informs me that her son will be joining us for dinner to get to know each other more. I'm not thrilled at all.
While dinner was made Narcissa took me on a walk showing me around the manor. She opens a room that was decked out in green. Little trinkets on the dresser. Closet filled with black suits and dress robes.
"He doesn't like it when others invade his privacy but you can hang out in his room until he's here for dinner." She insisted.
"Thank you for your kindness but would he be fine with me staying in here." I questioned.
"You don't know this but you use to be over here quite often. You two would run around the house giving us little heart attacks pulling pranks on us." She giggled then disappeared.
I sat on his bed with loads of questions running through my head. There's so many unanswered things. It felt like she was trying to protect me from something. I wonder around looking at picture frames. I found a photo of me from when I was 5 with Draco sitting on his dresser. Maybe he hasn't forgotten and I did.
"Mother let you invade my privacy I see." An unforgettable voice hissed from across the room.
"I was just look-" I try to let out but his intimidating ass steps closer to me.
"I'm sorry I should've just stayed on the bed." I apologize while he picks up the photo I was just looking at. He looks up from the photo and looks at me. He knew who I was all along.
"Come on. Dinner must be ready." He said with his cold voice that sends me to chills.
I can't tell how I should be with him. One minute he's sweet and clingy. The next he acts like he wants to strangle me with anger. Leading me back into the dining room I was just at with Narcissa, he seats himself next to me. Talk went on for hours. Conversation about things I had no clue that was going on.
We finished up and when I felt like I wanted to leave Narcissa kept insisting we stay for a while. Their father wasn't present and I felt like I had to stay. She really pushed for me and Draco to be close. Draco lead me back to his room and I flop onto his bed completely bored out of my mind.
"My mother wants us to stay the night." He broke the silence and complete awkwardness that has lingered for a while.
"We've got school." I reminded but he didn't seem to care.
"I tried telling her that. You really think I'd like you over? You're probably going to look through my personal things." He said defensively.
"No. I'm not that kind of person. You're really bad at reading people." I argue.
We sat in silence for a while. He finally gets up and shows me to the guest bedroom next to his. Some clothes already laid out in my size like Narcissa knew I was going to stay. A note was set on top. With Draco breathing down my neck I read it.
We miss you dearly sweetheart. Hopefully you've settled and you're having fun. Narcissa is my dear friend and I thought it would be nice you guys got close.
- mother <3I drop the note and Draco doesn't seem as confused as I was. My mother never told me our families were close. I don't know why she would tell me this now.
"What? You didn't know we took baths together when we were younger?" Draco teased.
"Don't make it weird. Get this through your thick skull. Not every girl is into you." I snapped.
He leaves the room and I look around. Nothing out of the ordinary. I don't know why I'm still feeling the need to search for answers when they were in front of me. I threw on the clothes set in front of me. Comfortable satin, probably expensive, fit perfectly to my body shape.
Entering the bathroom was self care products all laid out. I go through my whole routine and lay in the soft bed. More comfortable than the ones at school.
