I HC that Kara dies in NoI, therefore she won't feature in this one.
..Idek what was going on in my head when I thought of the plot 😳

Aiden's PoV

It was at times like these when Aiden Acharya felt that life was hopeless, and wanted Mini's father, the Dharma Raja, to take him faster.

The unimaginable had happened.

Aru had awoken, bloodstained. Now, Aiden wouldn't have really been anxious if only Aru had her period. But, apparently, Mini's, Brynne's, Nikki's, Sheela's, and Hira's monthly cycles had converged, which led to six moody girls, all with sharp objects, and scary powers packed in his house.

And, it was at that time that their guardians had decided to go out for lunch, to apparently, 'have a breather from raising those chaotic kids', and told them to 'hang out' in his house.

"Please, Mom," he begged, grabbing his mother's hands.

"Don't go. I may be a grandma, but I have no idea how to deal with six scary girls on my own!" He continued, using his 'kicked puppy face' to convince her.

Malini was not convinced, given the fact that a seventeen year old was using that particular face, and that she had grown immune to it, and said, "You won't be alone! You'll have Rudy, and if Mini's in a good mood, then Mini!"

"We can't take chances, though?" He asked, still hopeful.

Malini smiled, and for a moment, Aiden felt jubilation- Success! He thought.

But then his hopes crashed. "No." His mother said, and picked up her handbag. "Bye! Have fun, honey!"

When she left the house, he was still glaring at the door, but not for long, since the girls started coming. He crossed his fingers and prayed to the gods that their moods were pleasant.

X-X-X

Aiden had heard the phrase "the calm before the storm", which was why he was filled unease when he entered the living room after a long bathroom run (read: another prayer).

The girls were.... fine. He allowed himself one sigh of relief. Maybe I was overreacting? A hopeful voice inside him said.

But then, he was jolted with panic. How long would this fragile peace last? His panic only increased when he saw Aru's tightened brow, Brynne violently slamming things against the kitchen counter, and Hira's violent scribbles in her journal.

Rudy hadn't noticed, and was playing with his gems, each emitting a musical note when thrown into the air.

He didn't see that it brought discomfort to the other occupicants of the room, until Aru yelled, "COULD YOU STOP?", after diverting her attention from the TV.

It was a formidable feat on both of their parts, given the fact that Lord of the Rings was on. Rudy had the decency to look slightly ashamed of himself.

Mini didn't yell, but said calmly, "Don't talk to him like that, Shah."

Aru turned her glare towards her sister. "First of all, he interrupted the part where Aragorn entered with his sword and a bunch of ghosts! That's criminal! And secondly, while he may be your boyfriend, I'm your sister. I've known you longer, so why aren't you backing me up?"
