Relationships are not just built with seeing each other everyday or listening to their stories or by hanging out with each other's friends. Sure they do play a role but trust, communication and efforts are what make relationships stronger. Something that his– Jungkook's parents lacked.
Yet, Jungkook couldn't help but draw parallels between Tae and his mom. Couldn't help but compare and picture the same things happening.
And though Jungkook's dad may have been the worst and have altered his way of thinking but his actions were nowhere near to be justified.
Jungkook did the same like his dad but Tae? He wasn't even close to what his mother had done.
He loved Jungkook only expecting to receive the same and maybe that's where he went wrong.
Expectations.
Something that can ruin one very easily, something that Jungkook always promised to give but never actually did.
"I'm sorry" he whispered to himself.
"I'm scared,.I don't want you to leave me" he was glad Taehyung was nowhere near him at the moment. But what he didn't know was that he was only making it easy for Taehyung to leave.
How many times Taehyung would listen? How long would he also tolerate?
Though Jungkook regrets hurting Tae, his actions were never and will never be valid. Jungkook stood there like a statue, lifeless in the living room. He couldn't dare to walk in his room. He knew Taehyung was crying. He knew he was hurt beyond repair and maybe there was just a last straw remaining that would hold them together.
Jungkook walked into the kitchen, his eyes falling on the familiar object that he found solace in. He took it out gently, observing it's sharpness as he gently placed it against his palm as he let it cut his skin.
Hurting himself because he hurt Taehyung.
"I deserve this. I hurt you. I know you'd never hurt me so I'm doing this for you" he mumbled leaving his wounded hand open as he sat switching on the television to distract himself from the pain.

Taehyung came out of the room only to see Jungkook watching TV, he didn't question anything, nor said a word as he put on his shoes getting ready to walk out.
Taehyung looked at Jungkook who was stealing glances at him every now and then. Taehyung waited for him to question, waited for some sort of reaction but it never came. His eyes never met him instead strained on the TV as if forcefully avoiding him.
He paid no mind and walked out of the house, shutting the door gently. He stood there, waiting for the door to open but it never happened. As much as Jungkook wanted to go behind him, he stopped himself.
Taehyung let out a sigh of relief, turning around to leave for an evening walk that he very much needed but let out a gasp when he saw someone right behind his back.
"Omg! You scared me. What are you doing here?" Taehyung asked, rolling his eyes not realising that Jungkook was there, standing right behind the partition of the door as regret and hurt seeped through his veins when he heard Taehyung talking to someone.
"Are you okay?" Yoongi asked, he had been waiting outside their house ever since Jungkook drove everyone out. He felt worried and scared so he chose to stay back.
"Are you okay?" Taehyung questioned back, "what are you doing here?" He asked but Yoongi stayed silent. He didn't want to say the truth thinking it might offend Taehyung in any way. He barely knew him and saying that he stayed back so he could 'help' him could come off as rude. He didn't want to make the other feel like he was dependent or in need of help, maybe, but it was in no way Yoongi's place to decide or conclude so.
