Every time our eyes would linger just a second longer
I feel a rush of emotions
Coming at me
All at Once.
What is happening to me?
Why does my heart race with excitement
And ache with pain
At the same time?
Every time I see you in my heart
Why am I reminded of the painful times
I had to go through
Without you by my side?
Why?
I might not have everything I want
But I have you
