I read this in a book—
"Sometimes, the best way to love someone
is to let go."Maybe that's what I should do—let go.
Of everything.Let the love I have for you
Dissipate on its own.No rushing,
No forcing,
No more melancholy,
No more wounds.Love is weird
Just as the million other things
Our eyes stumble upon everyday are.It can be soft,
Genuine,
Pure,
Innocent.While at the same time
It can be ruthless,
Unwanted,
Undeserving,
Hopeless.Whatever it may turn out to be
At the end of the day,
Love is love.Maybe my heart
Is marred with the marks of it
Of you
But these scars
Are ones I would gladly bear.uhm,, yea I just finished my new poetry book and all this oozed out LOL

but honestly? I... kinda feel all these words in a way?? like obviously I haven't like fallen in love (obv that's not the only kinda love that exists I'm talking from the story's pov) but like, I think I know enough of it now to know how much it can mean to someone and how much the lack of it can affect people. and it's just sad how what may be "the usual" for some ppl may be really hard to express for others :((yk like how people can easily be physically affectionate w everyone? I can't be that affectionate even with you (physically) and I just overall struggle with it a lot T-T I think that's one of the reasons why ppl like me would think letting go is best? like no leading ppl on, no getting others' hearts broken ;-;)
idk what I'm saying but um I just kinda felt this poem (or rather verse) on a higher level than the rest (also the quote was actually taken from the poetry book ehe)
