I watched as you came into my life,
A small but steady flame.
I watched as you broke apart the walls I'd built around my heart
To intertwine it with your own.
I watched as you taught me
The meaning of love, the meaning of life.
And now that I think about it,
My life is no longer as meaningless
As I said it was.
And guess what?
It won't ever be any different
Even if you're not it it—
You've given me enough reasons to live,
Enough reasons to laugh,
