Chapter 12: Enter Zabuza Demon of the Hidden Mist

Author's Note: Most of you wanted me to continue writing the story the way it is. So I decided to do just that, but for those who wanted me to do a story where Orochimaru dates Minato's older sister, who is young than him by a year in the sannin era. I might make one in the future.

Anyway, onto the chapter!

Team seven and Tazuna walked to the end of the Land of Fire to get into a boat to take them to the Land of Waves.

Each person got into the boat and sat down. Because there were so many of them, it was packed. Naruto sat at the front of the ship. Sakura sat next to him, and Kakashi sat next to Sakura. Tazuna sat at the back of the boat. Karen and Sasuke sat next to each other on the other side, making Sakura glared at her.

Karen rolled her eyes from behind her as she took off her sunglasses. since the sun wasn't too much in her now that it was afternoon, it lowered slightly.

'She so annoying. I don't like Sasuke like that. He is way too emo and cold for my liking. Besides, it's not like he is interested in a relationship. He just wants revenge on the murder of his clan.' Karen thought, looking at the brooding emo next to her, not seeing what was so great about him.

"So, Tazuna. When we get to the Land of Waves, where do we need to go?" Kakashi asked.

"When we get there, I will show you. I won't be going to work on the bridge right away. That we can settle and rest from our journey," Tazuna explained.

As they sat in the boat, the fog around them got thicker and thicker, making visibility low. Karen looked in the water and saw her reflection.

She had long red hair with bangs covering her forehead protector and light blue eyes. It was a surprise she didn't realize sooner she wasn't Sakura's sister. She always had a feeling she didn't belong, but really realized it once she was kicked out of the house.

The driver cut the engine and rowed the rest of the way to the village. They sat in silence the rest of the way, making sure that no one could hear them. As the driver rowed, the fog suddenly lifted, and there was a village. They had made it to the Land of Waves.

"Won't! That's so cool!" Naruto yelled, gawking at everyone. The driver shushed him.

"Hey, why do you think we cut the engine and rowed the rest of the way here?" He said harshly.

Naruto put his hands over his mouth and said a muffled sorry. They pulled up to the edge of the village and got out. Naruto had a sudden burst of causing him to start throwing kunai everywhere.

"No, no, he's over there!" He said and threw a kunai. Sakura and Naruto walked up behind the bush and saw a white rabbit.

"Strange. What is a snow rabbit doing in the summer?" Karen asked, looking at the rabbit than at Kakashi. He narrowed his eyes, looking at the rabbit as well.

"Everyone! Get down now!" Kakashi yelled, pulling Karen down to the ground with him.

An enormous sword flew out of the air and hit a tree. A guy wearing cow print pants appeared on the hilt of the sword. Naruto ran towards the man, but Kakashi stopped him from attacking.

"Don't interfere; give me room this one on a different level than our previous opponent," Kakashi said as the guy looked down at them.

"Who is that?" Karen asked, looking at the guy standing on the sword.

"Zabuza Momochi. Demon of the Hidden Mist," Kakashi explained. "Looks like I am going to use this," He said as he put a hand in his headband, ready to pull it up from his covered eye.

"Ah, Kakashi Hatake. The copy ninja. Owner of the Sharingan eye," Zabuza said. "If it wouldn't be too much trouble, could you surrender the old man? My business is with him."

"Everyone get into Manji formation! Protect the bridge builder!" Kakashi commanded. "I taught you about teamwork. Now is the time to use it!"

Team seven circled around Tazuna, trying to protect him.

"Now, Zabuza, should we begin?" Kakashi asked as he pulled up his headband, revealing his sharingan.

Karen looked at his eye, surprised.

"Ah, to face the legendary sharingan so early in our acquaintance, this is an honor," Zabuza said.

"You keep saying, Sharingan. What is the world is that?" Naruto asked, confused about what everyone was talking about.

"Shinboi who have the Sharingan has mastered a form of ocular Ninjutsu; it enables them to penetrate and see the reality behind an illusion or spell and to reflect the power of three magic that penetrate back on those cast them, a mirror wheel, or Sharingan, the eye is one of several types of Dojutsus, and there's more," Sasuke explained.

"Like what?" Naruto asked.

"Yes, exactly, there is indeed more, most formidable of all is that the Sharingan can copy its opponents greatest justu when I was an assassin for Kirigakure. I possessed the usual bingo book, a kind of who's who of our enemies. It had quite the extensive write-up on you, including a mention of your impressive record, the man who copied over a thousand different justu... Kakashi the copy ninja," Zabuza explained.

'Is he really that famous?' Sakura asked herself.

'He-he's the best!!!' Naruto said in his head.

'Wait, if I recall, isn't the Sharingan the Kekkei Genkai of the Uchiha clan. So how does Kakashi-sensei have it?' Karen thought to herself.

'The Sharingan eye is...supposed to be unique to only a small number of the Uchiha clan, could he be...?' Sasuke asked himself in his head.

"Enough, pleasant as this conversation has been, the time for talking is over. I'm on a tight schedule to polish off the old man," Zabuza said.

Karen narrowed her eyes as she pulled out a kunai getting ready to protect the bridge builder.

"But Kakashi, it looks like I'm going to have to kill you first," Zabuza said as he jumped off from the tree with his sword and landed in the water.
