OSCORP XRF SCANNING ROOM

It's like nobody was in the XRF machine, to begin with.

It's like nobody was in the XRF machine, to begin with.

It's like nobody was in the XRF machine, to begin with.

It's like nobody was in the XRF machine, to begin with.

❝I need some air.❞

Vienna pushed up off of the XRF machine. All of this was too much. She needed to take a walk before anything else was decided upon. As Vienna pushed open the XRF room door, Darius slapped Peter's shoulder. He was basically saying, go with her dumbass.

While Gwen straight up told Peter, ❝Go with her!❞

Peter was a genius but he could be so oblivious sometimes.

❝Oh, a-erm I-I I'll go with you!❞

Peter called out to Vienna as the door slammed. That didn't stop him though. The boy followed Vienna, he followed her all the way to Oscorp's fancy elevator, Peter even got in with her.

❝I'm perfectly capable--❞ Vienna started speaking but Peter cut her off.

❝Of walking yourself?❞ Peter rubbed his cheek while looking down, cutely, ❝I know, I just want to--❞ This time Peter was the one to get cut off.

❝Protect me?❞ Vienna would've smiled if she hadn't felt so shitty.

❝ye-yeah.❞ Peter stuttered while he fiddled with his hands.

He felt so stupid for keeping Spiderman from Vienna for so long. He shouldn't have done that. He could've told her but, he didn't. And now he was paying for that. Peter didn't want to feel like he was walking on eggshells, he wanted things to be normal again.

❝Are you okay?❞

Peter asked her softly. He was definitely referring to what happened back in the XRF machine. And no, obviously, Vienna was not okay, but he couldn't live with himself without checking in on her.

❝I honestly have no clue,❞ Vienna shut her eyes and rubbed her head, ❝my head was already fucking hurting but whatever happened back there, well, it made it a thousand times worse.❞

Peter would never say I told you so. Well, not right now, when Vienna evidently had a fever and practically got electrocuted inside of a radiation tube.

❝You can say it ya know,❞ Vienna turned her head to look at Peter, ❝I know you want to say I told you so, you can say it.❞

Peter tried not to smile; Vienna knew him so well.
