WALLACE RESIDENCE

❝ ❞

Vienna listened to Peter, for the first time ever.

She followed his instructions.

She left Oscorp.

She went home.

She didn't stay behind with him.

Vienna was exhausted, feeling shitty, in shock and most importantly, confused.

She was perplexed by several things.

Am I mad at Peter still?

Why did my hair dye washout?

Who was that guy with the gas mask?

What was the guy with the gas mask's motive?

Why did the XRF machine malfunction?

Were Gwen and Darius okay?

That last part was really freaking her out.

Vienna had texted both Gwen and Darius several times, she'd blown up their phones with messages like... are you okay? Do you need help? Is there anything I can do? Are you dead? Well, you couldn't answer if you were... text me when you get this.

Vienna was met with no reply. She could only hope they were okay, and she could only hope that Peter hadn't sustained life-threatening injuries. But, the ballerina wasn't really focusing on him at the moment.

The girl was more interested in the chemical burn on her back that had started to wrap around to her ribs, more than anything else.

Vienna's brown eyes trailed up and down her wound.

Black bruises, dark purple skin, bubbles forming on her back... skin peeling, the pale blue was getting dark beneath her skin and somehow... more luminescent?

Vienna was sick to her stomach, literally.

Earlier, when Vienna had first arrived home, she rushed straight to the bathroom. Where the ballerina ended up puking her guts out... thank god for her dad. He was the champ that tied her hair back. That was #fathergoals, to say the least.

Tap. Tap. Tap.

Vienna ignored the sound of tapping. It was probably the wind blowing ice at her window. She didn't care at the moment. Vienna was just focused on not feeling nauseous.

Her hands grasped the sides of her bathroom counter. Vienna's knuckles turned white, from the tight grip.

Tap. Tap. Tap.

There it was again.

I swear to god, if that's Peter, I'm gonna kick his ass.

Vienna only promised to leave Oscorp if Peter held up his side of the bargain-- going over to her house after he saved everyone. But, the boy never showed up.
