Vienna already knew the sample from the crime scene had Radium on it. The second she'd gotten home last night the girl googled what colour Radium was.
She was met with a glowing pale blue... just like what painted the concrete (at the second explosion site) and just like the shades up her spine. Gwen's text message had only confirmed it.
Gwen: The sample has Radium.
Vienna: I knew it.
Gwen: There's something else Vienna...
Vienna: What is it?
Gwen: Come to Oscorp whenever you get the chance today and bring anyone who was with you at the scene last night. I need to run tests. Something isn't right.
Vienna: Okay... We'll be there.
That freaked Vienna out.
Did this have to do with the chemical burn up her back? The one that kept spreading...
Last night, the burn got so agonizing she had to sleep on her stomach. Vienna knew that going to emerge was in her best interests but... she didn't feel like being suspended from any of her upcoming ballet recitals. Especially with the Christmas one being right around the corner.
Vienna shook that thought from her mind. This was all too much to think about. Especially when she knew that Peter would have to visit Oscorp today (with her and Darius). She was mad at him but, she wouldn't put his safety in jeopardy.
Vienna messaged both Peter and Darius.
(Message to Darius) Vienna: Darius, meet me at Oscorp around 12:00 pm. Something's wrong, Gwen needs to run tests on us...
(Message to Peter) Vienna: Gwen needs whoever was with me while getting the sample to meet at Oscorp around 12 pm. She has to run tests. I get that being Spiderman is more important than being Peter Parker to you... so you can figure out who you're showing up as...
That was harsh... but, then again, Vienna was sick as a dog and lacking several hours of sleep. She could get off the hook with this one. Especially when Peter had kept such a big secret from her.
I need a shower. Clear my mind.
There was no way in hell she'd visit Oscorp after sweating buckets last night, without taking a shower. Vienna was certain that the Radium from the second explosion site incited a fever within her. The girl had chills and her skin was an awful yellowish shade. Earlier, when she checked her temperature, it was at 103... definitely a fever.
