I sighed happily as Cy slept on his side on my chest, my hand resting on his waist. It was nearing the end of his last month and he was due any day now. It'd been quiet from both Tyler and the, now fully healed, Sarah. She hadn't even wandered to our pack to pass the time. Thank The Mother. Cy's tummy was the size of a blue ribbon watermelon and it'd become a hassle for him to walk most distances. Though I rarely let him walk anywhere these days. His mood swings had also been a bit more...noticeable. As long as I was there, though, he was fine. He groaned quietly as he shifted against me. I looked down at him as he sighed, his eyes opening slightly before he stretched and got up. He glanced at me in exasperation,
"Bathroom."
I nodded and smiled at him. He returned it before getting up and waddling to the bathroom cutely. We were laying down because he was sleepy, for one; the second reason was that his feet had started to swell slightly. This was one of the ways I kept him off his feet. It also was positioned near a bathroom; another upside. I turned the tv on watching some HBO original. Cy came back out and settled back against me. It didn't take long for him to fall back asleep. I gently rubbed his back, soothing him into a deeper sleep. I kissed his temple, and he sighed quietly; snuggling further into me. We stayed there until my baby was awoken by the sound of his stomach growling. I looked at him with a smile as he frowned slightly from being woken up. He looked up at me; a slight pout on those addicting lips of his. I couldn't stop myself from kissing them,
"What do you have a taste for, love?"
He thought for a moment before shrugging,
"Surprise me?"
I smiled and kissed his nose and cheek,
"I'll think of something, baby."
He smiled and I got up, picking him up as well, before heading out. I walked to the kitchen and settled my baby in a seat with his feet elevated in another. He watched me, his hand resting on his tummy, rubbing it occasionally. I walked to the fridge and looked through it, trying to find some inspiration. As I did so, someone walked into the kitchen. I glanced behind me to see Ari. He smiled at Cy, who returned it with a small, but sincere one of his own. Afterwards, he turned to me,
"I hope you're not starving our future Luna, Leo."
I snorted,
"The very idea is foreign to me, Ari."
He laughed, and I turned to face him,
"You got any ideas on something I could make?"
Ari glanced between the two of us before saying,
"How about your mom's lasagna?"
He had a begging look on his face while Cy looked at me curiously,
"What's lasagna?"
I smiled at him sweetly,
"It's a type of pasta casserole made with layers of meat, cheese, tomato sauce, and pasta. If it sounds good to you, then I can make it."
He nodded his head, his blue-black hair shaking slightly, strands of the white streak getting caught in his lashes. I smiled and walked over, tucking the hair behind his ear before pecking his lips,
"Okay, love. Looks like we're having lasagna, but I'm only making one pan."
I made sure to direct the last part of my sentence to Ari, who simply gave me a thumbs up with no protest before settling himself across from Cy. He'd most likely stay there until the lasagna was ready in order to secure a slice. My mom's lasagna had been famous around the pack. A fight or two may have broken out over the last slice. I pulled out the ingredients before beginning the process of making it.
