Everyone watched in silence as Goggles started to fight Bobble Hat. Even his teammates were shocked, this was the first time he had ever sweared.
It was mildly unsettling.
They all watched as the two inklings went back and forth. Bobble releasing special after special, Goggles dodging all the attacks while attempting to not hurt the former in the process.
The most shocked out of everyone was the yellow green inkling tied up. Goggles and Bobble were siblings.
Goggles and Bobble were siblings?
He mentally face palmed, Rider had seen the way they interact with each other. The way their smiles are very identical to one another.
Their smiles...
He looks at the raging battle below him, Bobble was now using a Baller once more. Since Goggles refused to shoot his sister, Hachi was the one firing his Blaster at her.
The two siblings looked very unusual without their excited faces. With Bobble's emotionless face along with Goggles' being filled with tears and pain, it just wasn't right.
Rider struggled in the ropes, with no such luck as they were tied very tightly. He couldn't do anything but watch.
Hachi had gotten another hit on Bobble, and she was now using Curling Bombs. The octoling girl next to him had started yelling directions to the two. Each one of them successfully dodging the bombs, getting yet another hit on the inkling girl.
Bobble had super jumped to the top of the platform everyone was hanging off. She started using a Sting Ray. Shooting at the two below her with no mercy. Once again Goggles refused to attack her, so while he was inking up the area for more accessibility Hachi tools the opportunity to fire many Splat Bombs at Bobble.
Eventually the inkling had started spamming Splashdowns every opportunity she could get. Rider had once again zoned out, muffled yells and shots of ink were barely audible.
...
Everything had gone silent. Rider pays attention to the battle once more, he didn't know what he was expecting but this was not it.
Bobble, Goggles, and Hachi were all covered in ink. While Hachi sat crouched in a corner recovering from the battle, Goggles and Bobble were right in the middle of the elevator. Bobble was kneeling with Goggles hugging the former.
He was crying into her shoulder, Bobble was staring off into the background. Rider could have sworn he saw her hand twitch and slightly raise up, as if wanting to hug Goggles.
Tartar's voice rang out, completely stopping the silence. "Alright Subject 10,009, that's enough. Return now."
As if on cue, Goggles suddenly held Bobble tighter. It didn't stop her from super jumping away to an unknown area. Everyone couldn't help but stare at Goggles, worried for what he might be feeling.
The elevator had started working again, and the two below them made their way to untie everyone.
