Something Big [A Sequel to show you]

Chapter twenty- three

"Cam, you have to be sure you wanna do this", Jack says as we walk into the mall. "You can't just have an idea and go for it. That's not how this work, ya know? It takes thinking. Maybe many years of thinking. Don't follow your first thought". Cameron stops and turns to face him.

"If I don't do this. There's a possibility I'll lose him, and I do NOT want that. I want a vow, I want a promise. I have thought about this for a very long time and now it's my time that I actually can do that. Jack, don't try and talk me out of it", Cameron replies. Jack nods and Cam turns around and starts walking again.

We walk into a jewelry store and Cameron walks up to the counter and the lady greets him with a smile. "How can I help you young man? Looking for something to give your momma?", she asks, as if we're children. Cameron just looks at her.

"I'm looking to propose to my boyfriend. And please don't talk to me like I'm four, I'm a twenty your old adult and I'd like to look at engagement rings for men, if that's a problem, I'm sure I can find a different store", he replies. Jack and I exchange a glance and I cross my arms. The lady just looks at him.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I don't sale to.. homosexual couples. If you don't leave, I'll be forced to kick you out, have a nice day", the woman replies before motioning for guards. Are you kidding me?! Cam scoff and walks out the door and we follow him.

"I should call the police, that was a disgrace", I say. Jack nods his head in agreement but Cameron just freezes. "Something wrong?". And then I see them, Nash and Shawn walking towards us. Shawn greets me with a smile and pecks my lips.

"Hey baby", he says, wrapping an arm around my waist. "What're you guys doing coming out of a jewlery shop?". Jack makes something up really quick.

"Jj's birthday is soon", he blurts out. "I wanted to get him a...um... belly button ring". Cameron face palms and Nash raises his eyebrow.

"Jj's birthday has already passed", Nash says. Jack doesn't say anything else and Cameron just stands there awkwardly. "I feel as if he interrupted top day, we must leave these 3 alone, come along Shawn peter". Shawn kisses my cheek and follows Nash.

"A BELLY BUTTON RING FOR JJ'S BIRTHDAY JACK?! REALLY!?", Cameron yells harshly. Jack shrugs and Cam just shakes his head and we try to find a different jewelry shop. We find one and walk in. We walk up to the counter and this time it's a guy.

"Hi guys! How can I help you on this fine day?", he greets. We wait for the "looking for something for your mommy" thing but it doesn't come. So Cameron explains his situation. Starting with the other shop.

"I got kicked out of a jewelry shop in this mall for asking for an engagement ring for my boyfriend. So now it's up to you to find me the perfect engagement ring for my soon to be 18 year old boyfriend, can you do that for me?", Cameron replies.

"Absolutely! So, Mr. Dallas. Not only is Cash real, but I can expect a Cash wedding?", he asks, winking at Cameron. I totally forgot Cash never officially came out! Cameron smiles for the first time today and nods.

Cameron has been really stressed with everything going on. Life is going by really fast and he's always been the one to wanna hold onto things. So now he's going to be sure not to let this go. And I don't blame him. "I want something nice that he'll like. But, I'm really not sure what that would be", Cameron replies to the man.

The guy holds up a finger and walks away, only to return a few seconds later with a few ring choices. He shows them to Cameron and Cameron observes them. "I don't want too sparkly, not too bright, but not plain", Cam says. Jack and I agree with him and the guy nods and takes the rings away and brings Cameron more choices.

"This is the one", Cameron whispers, picking up one. It's white but it has a blue diamond in the middle. It's seriously breath taking. It's beautiful. "I want it. But, I need Nash's family's blessing". I dial Hayes' number.

"Bruuuh! How you doing? Good? Can Cameron marry your brother? Yeah? YOU ROCK MAN! Talk later", I say when Hayes answers. I hang up and look at Cam. He chuckles lightly and him and the guy discuss it and then we leave after the guy tells him to pick it up later or tomorrow.

I check my phone and it's already almost 4 so we just leave and go to Cameron's house. "I need to talk to Nash's parents. I can't believe I did this without a plan. Like, at all. I literally just..did it. And you know what?", Cam says when we get in his house. Jack and I both look at him. "I seriously don't regret a second of it. I did it, and now I'm nervous about everything. It's happening. It's really happening". Cameron's mom walks in.

"What's happening?", she asks. Cameron gets wide eyed and turns to face her. "You're gonna ask Nash to marry you?". Cameron nods slowly and she squeals. "MY BOOOOOY! Can I see the ring!?". He shows her a picture and she gasps. "It's so so pretty. How are you gonna do it?". He starts giving her ideas and she smiles every time he says something.

"I wanna do it in a really cute way. Not on a beach or in front of a water fall. But like, something unique but still not over the top", he says. I gasp and everyone looks at me in surprise.

"A SCAVENGER HUNT!", I yell. Cameron smiles widely and looks at his mother who seems to love the idea. We start planning and by the end of the night, we have it all planned out Cam hasn't stopped smiling.

"It's happening. I'm going to propose", he says.

AN: How was that? Ew or yas? AGH IDK. PICTURE OF THE RING SOMEWHERE ON YOUR SCREEN! I searched everywhere and then there it was. I swear I gasped XD It's so gorgeous.
