(Y/n) woke up early when she saw Moominpappa on the couch reading his morning newspaper. She was nervous but it was rather rude not to greet him.
''Morning, Moominpappa.''
He flipped his newspaper as he heard (Y/n). She was still in her pajamas as she walked down the stairs.
''Morning, (Y/n).''
Maybe I should talk to her now.. he thought. Except for his wife who was doing the laundry, the others were still in bed.
''..(Y/n), perfect timing, may I talk to you?''
Fuck.
''Of course.''
She sat down across him at the living room. The silence was too loud. (Y/n) never felt this much tension in her whole life. Her palms were slowly sweating.
Moominpappa noticed that she was frozen in her seat, just awaiting for something to happen. He took a slow sip from his coffee.
''You don't have to be so tense.''
She looked up towards him.
Oh- thank goodness-
''But if you're wondering what I was about to say, yes it was regarding your work.''
Fuck.
''..I can tell you're slowly adapting to the life here,'' he smiled, ''honestly, I was quite impressed you're learning well from both my son and My, even if there's some errors here and there.''
(Y/n) honestly couldn't really tell if that's a compliment or not.
''But I noticed, sometimes you tend to take some random breaks,'' he paused, ''of course, I am not opposed to it. But, try not to do it so often, alright?''
She nodded.
"..sorry Moominpappa."

(Y/n) started her work early that day. After receiving 'the talk' from Moominpappa, somehow it effected her so much that she needed to do something to distract her mind. Moomin and My was not around but she'll be fine on her own. This time, she tied her hair in braids and wear a red plaid shirt matched with her overalls.
The crops on her plot did not grew much from before so she wandered around to other areas. Come to think of it, she always wondered if the Moomin family make a business out of this. They must have right? After all, she's pretty sure most markets get their supplies from farmers. Large scale farms like these could bring a huge profit if they could manage it well. She wondered if the Moomins hold some market somewhere. She needs to go ask about it.
Even if (Y/n) did not followed her parents' footsteps, she has some basic knowledge regarding business. They always talked about it at home anyways. She could not for the life of her understood the appeal of it.
Damn, something hit her. Did their parents married because of it? Business-partner couples.
She could never.
She then crouched down as she removed some excessed overgrown weeds in a vegetable farm (she did not remember what's it called). Turning her offline music out loud, (she couldn't stream her Spotify here since there's no wifi. It sucks) she continued doing her work while humming on some random songs.
