*Holy crap it's been a long time since I've updated. Gz guys I'm really sorry. I have been so busy it's insane and I have been having a TERRIBLE writers block with this story. So here's my best shot at this chapter! I hope you guys like my terrible writing skills 💩*

Brooke's POV

"Hey Brooke," Jake walked up to my locker, his hand running through his hair.

Last year I found out that Jake has had a crush on me since the 1st grade. We've been best friends since then, but apparently he's never stopped crushing on me. And now with Callum and all, I don't know how to act around him. And Jake is extremely attractive. His hair is amazing and always messy but always perfect. He is perfect boyfriend material too. So you must be wondering why I never went out with him. I ask myself that question all the time. I think it's because he's my best guy friend and I don't want to ruin that.

"Hey Jake," I smiled and took out my books.

"So my parents are throwing my sister a graduation party because she is graduating from BGSU and they said I could invite a friend. Do you want to go?" He leaned against a locker.

"Sure." I closed my locker and walked down the hall, Jake by my side.

"Where's Amity?" He asked.

"She caught Callum's virus." Shit, shit, shit why did I say that out loud?!

"Whose?" He frowned.

"Callum's. You know, my boyfriend?" FUCK! Why did I say that! He's not my boyfriend!

"Oh. That's um... I didn't know you had a boyfriend. Congrats I guess." He attempted to smile then said, "Ok well I'll see you tomorrow at my house then?"

"Yeah what time?" I felt really awkward; my hands were twitching.

"6:00 pm."

"Ok cool see Ya."

He waved sadly and walked away, his hands in his pockets.

I just crushed my best friends soul.

Brooke's POV

I went to Callum's after school to talk to him about what we were. Really it was to "hang out" but I decided I wanted to talk.

"Bee! You're here! It's about time, I've been waiting all day,"
He threw up his arms.

"You were at school all day idiot." I laughed and he grabbed my waist spinning me around.

He kissed me softly and turned back to the stove, where he was attempting to make a grilled cheese.

I walked over and laughed at him.

"What?" He asked, pretending to be offended.

"Callum, that's not how you make a grilled cheese." He was putting butter on the cheese, spreading it like jelly.

"Maybe this is how I make it." He shrugged. "How can I be in a relationship with a girl that doesn't approve of my grilled cheese making?" I leaned against the counter.

"Yeah hey that's what I want to talk to you about."

"Huh?" He asked, never shifting focus from the cheese.

"Callum, I need to know what we are." I licked my lips nervously.

"What do you mean Bee?"

"Are we together? Like what's going on between us?" I looked straight at him.

"Brooke," he put down his spatula and looked at me. "do you like me?"

"Yeah..."

He raised an eyebrow.
