Brooke's POV

A week went buy and I was still grounded due to my dad winning the fight between my parents. I trudged down the stairs.

"Dad...." I whined.

"Go to your room, you're grounded." He said.

"But dad! Tomorrow is Christmas Eve! You basically haven't let me out of my room for a week!"

"I know! You're boyfriend has come over just about every day! And Amity wouldn't stop calling the home phone." He stood up.

"Wait, Callum came over?" I stood there in shock. "I mean... He's not my boyfriend dad. I haven't bought any presents for my friends. You're going a bit over board." I stood up straighter. "I will not go back in my room. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve."

My dad smiled a little. "There's my little girl." He walked over and hugged me.

"What?" I asked.

"You were acting crazy, staying out late!"

"Dad it was literally one night." I laughed.

"Just go get dressed and grab some money. I'm taking you Christmas shopping." He smiled and went to grab his keys.

I sighed and rolled my eyes, looking at Ace. "Dads acting like a teenage girl on her period." I whispered.

I ran upstairs and grabbed some cash, throwing on a red slim fit tshirt and some jeans. I slipped on my converse and walked down stairs.

"Did you put on makeup?" Dad asked.

"Dad I've been wearing makeup since the 7th grade. You know that." I rolled my eyes and grabbed my keys.

"Wait I thought-"

"I'm driving dad." I cut him off. "No stopping me now." I winked.

Oh god, I thought, I am acting more and more like Callum and I've only been around him for about 1 week to be exact.

I shrugged and walked out the door. I started down my patio steps when I heard a rustle.

"Hello?" I stopped.

Callum suddenly popped out of the cherry bush.

"Shit! Callum you can't be here!" I looked around. "My dad will literally kill me. And I'm not kidding." I shooed him away.

"Calm down I haven't seen you in a week. I just thought we kinda left it off a little awkward. Sorry about that by the way. I was tired and groggy and not thinking straight. Although I still do want to kiss you." He smirked.

"Yeah and that's about all I want to do." I froze. "You! I meant that's about all you want to do." I blushed.

"Sure you did Brooke-heart." He grinned and made his way closer to me.

"Ok um you really need to go." I pushed him away. "Just text me next time you idiot, I'm going to get grounded till I'm 90."

"Fine," he put up his hands in submission. "But I'm taking you ice-skating tomorrow. It's a family tradition of mine and I thought you would like to come." He started walking away before I could protest.

"But um...." My voice faded.

Suddenly my dad walked out. "Ready to go?" He asked.

"Yeah." I smiled.

After shopping I sat in my room and stared at the present I got for Callum. Idk why I even got him a present. I did like him but I was afraid. I didn't want to admit that to him though. I straightened out the tie and sighed angrily.
