"Can you at least get me a first aid kit, I need to stitch up her wound", Soobin complained from his crouching position on the floor with Lia laying down on the floor with a folded towel as a makeshift pillow.
He looked towards the man with authority sitting leisurely on a metal chair on the other side of the room and his bodyguard with extreme build standing next to the door.

The leader of the mafia gang, Hornet nodded to his bodyguard and he retreived a first aid box from the wall and handed it to Soobin. He sighed in frustration as he pulled out what he needed then as he was about to lift up Lia's shirt to stitch up her wound - he paused, "You're going to watch?

Hornet rolled his eyes and turned his chair around and signalled for his bodyguard to avert his eyes from the pair. Soobin set about carefully stitching up Lia's wound and since Lia was still asleep from the anaesthesia but Soobin shook her awake, once he was done. Lia's eyes flew open and in panic she grabbed Soobin's arm - wondering what the hell happened.

Soobin sighed and gestured to her that he'll explain as he medicated her, "After you got stabbed, we brought you back to lookout but they needed all hands on deck so they left me and you. Then it was a trap, they took us and now they're waiting for ransom from the rest who got locked up"

Lia gritted her teeth together as Soobin slathered some ointment on the stitch to keep it together. As he slowly started cleaning up again, he slipped one of the needles into his pocket and shut the box. He handed it back to bodyguard and Hornet turned back around. The mafia leader said, "You know, your friends are taking awfully long. If they take too long, I'll just need to kill you both"

Soobin protectively covered Lia with his arms and shook his head, "A hostage situation would be useless without the hostages alive. Come on, you should know. You're supposed to be the best"
Hornet narrowed his eyes at the indirect insult but gave some form of agreement to Soobin's statement through a nod and left the matter alone.

"I get stabbed and wake up in this situation. What are the others doing?" Lia asked Soobin through clenched teeth
"First of all, ow - you're gripping my arm really tightly. I feel like my bloodstream is going to get cut off", Soobin told the girl

Lia quickly retracted her hand from the male opposite hurt. "Anyway, I assume they're still brainstorming because personally if I was only the other side of this I wouldn't know what to do", Soobin continued
"That's true. But they better be quick, I'm getting antsy and I don't want to get killed", Lia told him

"I'm very sure no one would want to get killed, Lia", Soobin said indecorously
Lia's heart started beating fast for a second before realising their masks were off and the two remaining mafia members already ID'd them.

The girl rolled her eyes before laying back down and adjusting her position, Soobin mirroring her actions - instead using his arm as a pillow, "I guess our fate is up to them"
The boy shot a sharp glare at Hornet who seemed to be uninterested in their conversation.

"Do any of you have an idea? I mean there are 23 of you", Yeonjun asked in exasperation towards the NCT members
The 23 of them exchanged glances and either shook their heads or shrugged their shoulders. Yeji started twiddling her fingers anxiously as she paced around the room.

She suddenly stopped in her tracks as she had an epiphany and spoke in a low voice, "What if we didn't give them the ransom. What if, instead, we escaped and rescued the other two. Then, if, per say - we got into a stand off, we had a back up plan?"
"She's actually onto something, gather around guys", Beomgyu said

shorter chapter because i'm leaving more action stuff to next chapter. also, i know that anaesthesia does not work that way but i had to write in this way for the sake of the book, so hope yall don't mind. hope you enjoyed this random update. see you in the next chapter, which i do need to tell you - might take a while. anyway, byeeeee.
