Yeji held out her gun in caution as she stuck her back against the wall behind Yeonjun. She signalled the team forward with her fingers and the remaining members of txt and itzy mirrored Yeji's actions on either side of the door. The NCT members had already evacuated as soon as Taehyun and Yuna managed to hotwire the security protocols after finding a panel of electric wires in the prison.
"Three, two, one. Breach breach breach!", Yeji shouted

Beomgyu harshly kicked in the door and immediately pointed his gun up while everyone filed in behind him. The debris finally cleared up and they found Soobin and Lia being held at gunpoint. "Put down the guns, we outnumber you", Chaeryeong yelled at Hornet and his bodyguard

"Yes you do but tell me, who is it that have two of your teammates at gunpoint?", Hornet asked
"This doesn't have to be difficult, just put down the guns and we might spare your lives", Ryujin said
"I'm not risking the chances. Now, if you want these two to live, drop your weapons and lock your hands behind your heads", Hornet instructed the 8 of them.

Yeji exchanged glances with her teammates and nodded, they all bent down and placed their guns on the ground. They held up their arms behind their heads and stared at Hornet apprehensively.

Huening Kai stretched his hands a bit further down his back to reach his collar. He finally grasped his hand around a small, black object that was box-shaped. He caught Yuna's eyes and sent her a silent inquiry. She gave him a slight shake of her head, signalling him to wait.

Lia's breath began getting shorter and more often as she felt a sharp pain in her abdomen. She winced as she jerked her body to the right to try and relieve herself of the pain by elevating the right side of her body. "I think my stiches ripped", Lia said

Hornet's bodyguard sent her a sharp hiss as a warning as he dug the barrel of his gun closer to Lia's head. "Now, we will step out of this room with these two and none of you will move", Hornet said

Soobin moved his body side to side quickly, trying to get out of Hornet's grip. Doing that, he received a dig in the side of his neck with the blunt end of Hornet's knife. Lia whispered, "Don't resist"

Yeji stiffly turned her head slightly as she held up the number three with her fingers against the back of her head. Huening Kai shuffled his feet a bit to widen his stance as he watched Yeji count down with her fingers.

Huening Kai pressed down on the red button on top of the black object that he hooked onto his collar. The ground suddenly shook as a loud explosion could be heard.

Taking that moment of surprise as an advantage Soobin and Lia fought to get free. Lia whipped her head back to hit her captor in the chin. She pulled at the arms gripping her body and pulled them over her head, twisting them. She then elbowed his stomach making him bend over and fall to the ground. Lia swiftly took her gun back which was stuffed in his pocket and shot him in the chest.

Soobin had stood on the Hornet's foot before using his elbows to hit him in the face before turning around and kneeing him in the crotch. He grabbed the knife that was being held in Hornet's belt and stabbed him in the back. Then he used his fist to bonk Hornet on the head before flipping him over to land on the ground on his back. Soobin held him down as he searched for his gun. When he had it in his hands, he stepped on Hornet's chest and held the barrel against his forehead.

"Got you", Soobin said with a smirk while the Hornet helplessly flopped around trying to get free.
Soobin exchanged glances with his teammates who gave him approving nods. The sniper pulled the trigger and the bullet seared straight through Hornet's brain. He let out a relieved sigh as he left the body and went to walk to his members.

"Good plan guys", he said then grinned before sharing a bro hug with Beomgyu.
Lia had been pulled in by Yeji and the girls who told her they were very worried.
"Before we go, we should copy whatever information we can get on their database. But Soobin and Lia head back to base, the NCT members are still recovering there", Yeji instructed

"You're sidelining us? Nooo", Soobin whined
"It'll be fine, I'll send the hackers and Chaeryeong back too. We don't need much people for this", Yeji said

Yeji stood her ground by folding her arms and shot them glares, telling them to go. Chaeryeong pulled Taehyun with her while Yuna and Lia walked side by side. Soobin sent a reluctant look at Yeonjun who returned it with a shake of the head saying 'I can't do anything about it'.

Yeji signalled for the others to follow her as they ventured through the building to find the data room.

"Got it, let's head back to the jet", Yeonjun said - holding up a small usb
"Hold on, I want to say thanks to them. We might need the connection later on", Yeji said

She walked over to the group of 23 man that where either laying on the ground or sitting up against the wall. One of them stood up as Yeji approached and held out a hand for the girl to shake. "Thanks for your help, we owe you a favour now", he said
"No problem, I'll hold you to that promise though", Yeji took his hand and gave it a firm shake before slightly bowing her head as a form of goodbye.

"Okay, let's go back home. This had been a long mission", Soobin said as he adjusted Lia's arm that was over his shoulder
Lia grinned as she leaned onto him for support as they hobbled towards the jet.
