2. Coma

- 3 months and 19 days later -

You walk into the bathroom and sigh facing in the mirror to see the complete mess that is your hair and a permanent company of eye bags sat underneath your eyes. You haven't had much sleep since the accident. Too much company during the day, too many nightmares during the night.

you hadn't been back for long, or, awake i suppose. The days just kinda blended into one.

3 months and 16 days just gone. Completely wiped away everything. All of that time that could be spent doing whatever it was you used to like doing when you could remember anything.

Nothing before the three months that you had been in a coma is even traceable. It's like someone has just gone in and dug out every memory, every moment, every thought and left nothing but the ghost of an identity that used to belong in your mind. That's what makes it worse when it comes to the nightmares. There just a constant loop of nothingness forever, over and over again.

It's been 3 days since you woke and you haven't had the chance to meet everyone that is said to be in the tower. The first day you woke it consisted of a lot of panic and stress from your part and a lot of concern from two sciency dudes, one smart and nice though you hadn't talked much to him at all and the other was more confident, funny and yet ridiculously egotistical but in slightly hilarious way.

From what you'd gathered from the other few days one's name was Bruce and the other was Tony though who's name belonged to who is still muddled. A few other names have been mentioned but they had no familiarity to them at all. A Natasha, A Steve, A Rhodey and some ridiculously secretive talk about a Wanda? There were others among the mix that you haven't been able to catch but they should become known in the next few days.

You had asked what was going on repeatedly the last few days only receiving mumbles about some accident from the quieter one and a complete change of subject from the confident one. From what you'd gathered you used to know these people and they were family to you but there was an accident and you lost all of your memories. You've been in a coma for the last 3 months and 16 days and it has been 3 months and 19 days since the actual accident

"Hey kid how you feeling"

You jumped at the sound of his voice, completely lost in thought and not even noticing the guy from yesterday leaning against the door. the confident one.

"I did knock but you must have been busy"

It took you a second to realise he was actually talking to you even though there was no one else in the room that he had given you since you had woken up.

"uh yeah i was just sorting myself out"

You smile and look away from him.

"I would ask how your doing but i have a hunch having no memory pretty much sums it up"

You laugh quietly at him and smile again

"It's just frustrating, i keep trying the remember something, anything from before i woke up but there's just...nothing." you scoff at yourself getting frustrated.

"it's like i'm living in someone else's body"

He sighs sadly and indicates to the end of your bed, asking if he can sit down and you nod, moving over a little to make space

"How about we finally get you out of this room and meet some people you used to know. If you have to start from ground zero then I can help you with that, even if it's not the same and even if it doesn't feel like yourself it might help lift your spirits hey?"

You frown at the thought of having to re meet these people whilst they still remember everything from before and there is nothing that you know.

"Who was i?"
