You have no idea where her room is but you look on a little chart that says where to find everybody and find out she's on the 11th floor. You press the button and wait patiently, whilst still tapping your foot nervously. The lift pings and the doors open on the floor that it is supposed to. You walk out cautiously and notice that you feel a little sick from nerves. You look left and right and walk down the corridor before realising that navigating you way is going to be a lot harder then you expected. Your about the turn around and just go back to Stark to ask him when someone walks out of their door down the hall.
"You okay?"
Natasha looks at you questioningly as you stand their looking confused and frustrated. You smile at her.
"I can't find the room i'm looking for"
She laughs at you quietly and walks over to see where your trying to go and you stand there awkwardly. She looks at the key in your hand and immediately frowns in confusion.
"That's..."
You watch her face to see whether she's just gonna leave and not help you but she looks at you suspiciously. You look back at her, awkwardly smiling and she raises her eyebrows as she figures out what you plan on doing.
"And why exactly do you have that key"
You shuffle around on your feet confused as to why your emotions seem to be all over the place. Frustration seems to surface faster and panic floods your mind at even the sight of trouble
"Tony said that i am supposed to give this to who it belongs to"
She looks at you and you feel your heart beating way to fast with nerves so you take a breath out quickly so that you can make sure your still breathing.
"Oh he did?"
"Yep"
You extend the last syllable after realising your voice sounded angry almost against the surprising quiet the corridor remained in currently.
"I can take this off your hands and give it to who it belongs to myself so it doesn't waste any of your time"
she reaches out for it and you immediately pull away. The smirk that rested on her lips fades a little as a flash of pity smothers her face, that in itself is enough to fuel you anger a little further.
"I would like to give it to her myself if it's not too much hassle, I just need to find her room and then i'll be on my way"
Natasha sighs and looks at you, feeling bad, it grips underneath your skin at the thought of the pity everyone keeps showing you. Natasha's voice comes back softer than you imagined to be and though that should make it easier you can feel the frustration itching its way into your thoughts
"She's not in the mood to talk right now"
You look at her, with a plead so desperate in your eyes to just let you see her that Natasha immediately avoids eye contact with you. You look straight at her and see if she if going to help you before deciding the look on her face clearly shows that she won't. You sigh and walk forwards down the corridor, knowing you'll spend a while looking for the right room but also knowing it would be better than just not trying at all.
You jump in shock as someone scares you by putting their hands on your shoulders so that you are planted in place. You spin around to see Bucky, having just gotten out of the lift and obviously knowing exactly where you plan on going.
"Bucky..god you scared me i didn't know you were here."
He laughs lightly and sighs.
"i live on this floor and i was on my way to find you"
