Chapter Seven

Chapter Seven

(Natsume's POV)

Cadan went downstairs and cooked us breakfast. Looking at the back of him, I really found him attractive. He really was the kind I was looking for.

"Well, I am your mate, of course I am the kind you are looking for, babe." He stated out and of course made me realized that I had projected my thoughts.

"You are very quiet lately, still thinking about the nightmares?" He asked, still had the back to me.

"Yeah... I had a dream lately, saying that Daniel will go after me no matter what, and something else......" I trailed off, not knowing should I tell Cadan or not.

Cadan sighed dramatically, "Fine, I step down. When you want to tell me, then go ahead, I don't mind." He told me so but I was sure he mind actually.

"It's about power and stuff..." I started off, while Cadan rose one eyebrow. "In the dreams, it said that there will be some dark power rising, it said it is about Daniel. And we need to stop him. I don't know! Something like that! And I am stressed!" I finally blurted out.

Cadan cupped my face with his hands, "Shh... Baby, it's okay, I think it's time we leave here... Then we can think of something and 'defeat' Daniel." He said, air quoting the word 'defeat'.

I nodded then said, "After eating breakfast then we can go to the pack house."

"Cool, I just finished cooking it then we can go back home." Cadan answered with a smile.

We then ate the breakfast in a more normal way - joking around, relaxing.

~After hours of eating~

(Cadan's POV)

I looked at my watch, it was 11:30 a.m. in the morning. As usual, I was always the one waiting at the door for Natsume.

God knows why girls have to dress so long!

-I am very fast for a normal girl.- shot Natsume to me through the mate mind link.

-Yes madam. Remember me to close my thoughts next time.- I joked back through the link.

-Sure.- Natsume replied. -I'm ready now, by the way.- She added.

-Cool.- I shot back, hearing her footsteps.

Minutes later stood my mate, with only one suitcase with her.

I looked at her shocked. "Only one?" I asked. "Hey, I am not a typical Beta girl!" She said, shrugging and went through her long and tied jet black hair.

"Okay, then we now go to the pack house and say goodbyes?"

"Sure!" She then grabbed my hand and left the suitcase with me. We then hopped into her Range Rover and started to drove to the pack house.

-Pack house here we come~- I mind linked her unenthusiastically and earned a chuckle from Natsume.

~Some minutes later~

(Natsume's POV)

When Cadan pulled the car in front of my pack house, I was sure my heart was thunping loudly.

Cadan squeezed my hand with his, I looked at him and he smiled back reassuringly. "It will be okay."

Together we went into the pack house and it was unexpectedly packed with people. Everyone became silent as soon as we stepped into the pack house.

James asked us as soon as we faced him. "I see, so you are going now?" Cadan nodded while I just stared into his eyes, making him flinch.

"We need to be back to our pack as soon as possible. A pack without its Alphas will not be good." Cadan said, while James nodded in agreement.

We then started saying goodbyes until Daniel came up. Then tension began to stir up around us. I felt Cadan tensed up beside me.

"Daniel, I hope we won't see us too soon." I blurted out. Daniel smirked, "Sure, timi-mouse." He then exchanged a long stare with Cadan, guess they were mind linking each other.

At last Daniel flinched and back away, to much of my surprise.

Cadan turned to me, his brown eyes gentle. "Let's go, shall we?" I nodded and we left the pack house, without any turning back.

We hopped back to my Range Rover and started our way to my real home - my pack.
