Chapter Thirteen

(Natsume's POV)

Some days passed after we went to see the pack doctor for asking the genders of my pups.

Yup, my pups! I was so thrilled when I heard that I had a triplet. My baby lump was showing, and I was getting quite emotional lately.

Cadan and I were eating breakfast when Daniel said he was going for a run. I was humming when I put a congee into my mouth.

Lately I'd been craving for chinese food. "You seem to be in a very good mood." Cadan noticed and smiled at me.

"Yes, Cadan, because lately I don't have any nightmares lately." I said, getting hyper.

Suddenly Cadan choked on his coffee, and looked up at me, wide-eyed.

"Baby? What is it?" I asked, though the corners of my mouth quirked up, it was hilarious.

"Nightmare, shit......" He trailed off. My eyes widened at the thought of the nightmare.

The nightmare about a warning of evil powers and Daniel......

"I totally forget it! Do you think we should trust your nightmare?" Cadan asked, his eyes narrowed.

I shook my head, "I am not sure Cadan, what if it's true? What if Daniel is plotting something evil?"

Cadan opened his mouth but closed it as Daniel was walking towards the door. He entered naked and was sweating.

He stopped abruptly when he saw us still having our breakfast. "Still eating? I thought I went for a run for quite a long time." He asked and Cadan shrugged.

Daniel then excused himself and went upstairs while Cadan was lost in thought.

"What is it?" I asked him through the mindlink. Cadan started gravely through the link. "He thinks one of our pups is his mate."

At that, I choked on my water. What? Mate? I looked at Cadan open-mouthed. Cadan looked thoughtful for a moment, then his gaze fell onto my stomach.

Cadan was about to speak when his face suddenly grew serious, a frown forming. I knew instantly someone is mindlinking him, hopefully it wasn't any bad news.

After a moment, Cadan looked at me, his face serious.

"The pack doctor just told me that you are dued within next week, how about we observe Daniel for a while and wait till our pups are born?" Cadan mind-linked me and I shook my head.

"What if he will harm our pups? We can't risk it!" I argued back.

"Don't worry about it, Nat, I will take care of him. I'm going to take an eye on him and make sure he's not going to harm you or your pups." Cadan assured me, covering his big hand with mine. I instantly felt comforted with the touch.

He smiled a bit and kissed my forehead when a middle-aged man barged in. He bowed at Cadan and smiled at our moment. I'm glad my fellow pack members felt content with their way of living, after all, I am their Luna and I didn't want any harm done on them.

Cadan turned and looked at the man expectedly. "Alpha, sorry to interrupt, but may I have a word with you privately?"

Cadan raised an eyebrow at him. I wonder what it is about. Cadan turned back, giving me a swift look and narrowed his eyes when he saw Daniel walking down from the stairs.

I gave him the best reassuring smile I could muster and nodded at him. I didn't want to be the reason that he could not hear out from his pack.

"Go on, I will be fine, I can take care myself." I mindlinked him amd he took a step towards me.

"Don't stress yourself too much babe. Love you." He mindlinked me and gave my cheek a lingering kiss.

Nodding to me and glancing at Daniel swiftly, he turned towards the man and they headed towards the door.

And I was left alone in the house. With Daniel.

okay, i must admit:

THIS CHAPTER IS REALLY SHORT

and I apologized.

I know using 'writer's block' as an excuse seems lame, but it is one of the reasons tht I cant finish this chapter.

School life is busy and I dont feel like writing this story...

anyways, i hope i can upload soon!!
