Never Let You Go

Chapter Ten

Hihi, I feel guilty for not updating so frequently lately because of exams and stuff, so yeah, here you go~ another chapter :)

(Cadan's POV)

"Still, can you come back as soon as you are done?" Nat asked me, her voice hopeful.

Could I say no to her with that voice? "Sure, babe." I promised her and looked around the land.

I sniffed the air, there was definitely a scent here and it was familiar, but where and what was it?

I sniffed the air again, and I suddenly felt something above me.

Within a second, I was pinned down, to be honest, I was a bit surprised.

I then felt something clawed my side, I let out a hiss of pain. The wound sure was deep.

"Surprise, young Alpha." The rogue hissed into my ear. Realisation jolt through me.

The rogue was Daniel.

I rolled over and sent Daniel flying towards a nearby tree.

I stood up and growled towards Daniel. "What do you want, runt?"

Daniel chuckled, more blood tickled down from his mouth. "Nothing, just wanna tell you my father kicked me out of the pack."

I was about to snort when I felt Nat's panic through the mindlink.

"Whatever is happening, please hang on, Cadan." Nat's prayed and I caught it.

"Hey, Nat, I'm fine. Please calm down." I assured my mate through the mindlink.

"What happened, Cadan?" She demanded through the link.

I chuckled back, "A scratch won't kill." I felt Nat relaxed and slowed down a bit.

I turned my full attention towards a now smirking Daniel-wolf.

"You are whipped, man." He smirked and I growled back playfully.

"What are you saying then?" I asked, sitting down. Still bigger than Daniel standing up in our wolves,

"Dude, can we shift? You are too huge." Daniel complained. I chuckled, "Fine." Then we shifted back, both naked.

I glanced at my side, the wound was still bleeding, but nothing major, I guess.

"Nah, just that I know who killed most of your pack before. You know..." He trailed off and I straightened up.

"Who, man?" I asked, still alert though. "My father." He spat the name out as if it was poinsonous.

I growled, "What?"

"Yes, that's why he kick me out, for knowing the truth." He growled back.

Out of anger, I began punching a nearby tree until the tree fell down the ground and my knuckles bleeding.

"What the hell, Cadan?" Nat asked through the mindlink, she sounded worry.

I ignored her and turned my head towards Daniel, I was seeing red.

"You sure, Daniel?" I demanded. Daniel nodded his head, "And I want revenge." He growled back.

"Revenge for kicking you out?" Though I was still seeing a bit red, my brain functioned perfectly well, sensible.

"Yes, I need your help and I can tell you the pack's weaknesses." Daniel replied, his eyes flickered.

"Let's go to the pack house now." I said, and added in a smaller voice, "But, don't tell Nat, I want to break the news to her myself."

"Sure. That is understandable." Daniel replied and followed me.

"So we're cool?" He asked me and I nodded, "Yeah, we are cool. But next time just don't surprise me like that, okay?" I said, and he grinned.

"Sure, man." He promised.

(Natsume's POV)

"I am coming back, Nat, just wait in the pack house okay? We've got a visitor." Cadan mindlinked me.

"Sure, what happened?" I asked, sensing some anger radiated from Cadan.

"I will tell you when I see you." He promised me with a mental growl.

I sighed and went down to the living room. I was about to make some tea when Cadan and someone else came in, discussing something in a hushed tone.

They sound so serious, I wonder what was happening? I went out of the kitchen and dropped the cup of tea when I saw him.

Daniel.

Daniel was here, in the pack house, with my mate and they were discussing about something seriously.

As the cup clanged onto the ground, both men turned and faced me.

I then noticed both men were injured. Shaking my head, I begun picking up the pieces of the cup.

Cadan went up to me, naked, and bent down next to me.

"Hey, let me. Why don't you go up and get some clothes for us?" He asked me gently.

"Sure, you wait here." I replied and went upstairs to get some clothes.

"Thanks, Luna." I heard Daniel muttered. Luna? Seemed like he was the first wolf, except my pack members, to call me Luna.

I came back down with two tshirts and two pair of jeans. Cadan came up to me and I took that opportunity to check the wound on his side.

I carassed the half-healed wound and Cadan winced a bit. "It's fine." He muttered.

I sigh and nodded, then I gave him and Daniel the clothes.

"So what are you talking about just now?" I asked, while Daniel and Cadan exchanged a look.

"Go on, man, I will be waiting here." Daniel said and I knotted my eyebrows in confusion.

"Okay, babe, let's go upstairs and I will tell you." Cadan told me and led me towards our room.

As soon as we were in the room, I demanded. "Well?" "Well, whatever you hear later, just don't start destroying things okay? Just promise me you won't lose control." Cadan warned me.

I nodded, "Alright. What is it?"
