Why was I asking him this? I am so stupid. But I really wanted to know and he looked sort of terrified so I guessed that he wouldn't mock me. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes, "Are you following me?" I blurted it out and opened my eyes to see his reaction. His response was...Confused.
"Uh, what?"
"I mean, this morning I saw you out here and and then you were in the library and I came out here and you are out here now.." The words were rushing out of me, trying to explain myself. "And also at Hagrid's last night.." I finished nervously and watched his his face biting my lip. He looked horrified and confused. I changed my mind, embarrassed, "Nevermind, I'm leaving." I turned around and took a couple of steps. Then he grabbed my arm. I froze. Then I reacted, twisting around and slamming my book against the hand that had grabbed me.
"Holy shit, Granger! Yes!"
"Oh. Oh god. I'm so sorry. Are you okay?" I asked. I hadn't meant to hit him but my instincts just flared up.
"Blood hell! No! You broke my bloody hand!" He cradled his hand in his other hand and looked at me with confusion and pain. And then...He laughed. I was so confused as I watched him burst into laughter. "You broke my bloody hand with a book." I smiled at him a little but I was still confused.
"Umm," he finally stopped laughing, "I need to go to the the hospital wing."
I nodded, "I'll walk you there, seeing as I'm the one who did it."
Draco nodded and laughed a little bit more. We walked side by side. I glanced at him alot, he grinned the whole way there. I assumed he was delusional with pain. Once we got to the hospital wing the nurse came to lead him away. He started to walk with her and I watched him leave. But before he got far he turned around, still grinning, and said. "And yes, by the way. I was following you." And the stalked off to get his hand looked at.
I was blushing and thoroughly confused.
